PowerDVD dobly/dts

Is powerdvd (software player) capable of delivering dd/dts 5.1 + soundcard output 5.1?  or you still need a sound card + dd/dts w/ 5.1 output?

i believe should have both....your software and your sound card should have the capability of playing 5.1...im not sure about powerdvd, wala ata ito.

I have the cyberlink PowerDVD software that came with my ASUS notebook PC and yes, it can support DTS but only if you upgraded it to their full version that you have to pay for.  I think the freeware version easily downloadable only has DD 2 channels.  Good enough since I only use some walkman earphones when watching DVD on my laptop.

Teka teka ganito:

yung PowerDVD or other software - dd and dts 5.1 capable
of course this needs to be send to the speaker via thru sound card's output
yung sound card may front L/R, rear L/R, center/sub, etc. kaso wala nakalagay na DD or DTS pero 5.1 channel sya...
then i have the correct speakers for the sound card's jack...

dolby or dts surround/5.1 ba output nun?
