Hi Masters of Display Panels!!!

I have been a member of pinoydvd since October of 2003, but this is my first time to post a topic. 

I need your help on what the best 32' LCD Panel is worth spending my savings. I have worked hard to save money for me to buy an LCD, and I just don't want it to go to waste. My budget is around 50k and I am planning to purchase this on November 17.

I have been scouting and reading threads and so far, SAMSUNG LCD's are more often than not, being praised, not only for the quality of the unit, but for their superb aftersales service.

In line with this, I am eying on the Samsung LA32S81B or LA32R81B. We all know that the R81 is better, but there is a 10k difference between the two. Is the S81 worth it?

Please give me your insights...I really hope you can shed some light on this.

if your really budget constrained the S81 should be good enough for you.

The R81 has better contrast, wide colour gamut, 3 hdm (compared to2 for S) and different casing and movie plus. Its really depends on you and your eyes if it is worth the extra 6-8k

I was shocked to read you reply and thank you for posting. About what you quoted...is this brand new?...With warranty?

samsung is a nice choice. but for me, i tend to lean towards the panasonic 32LX70 for my pc.

Ok, it seems most everyone is for Samsung.

My question now is, if you were to use the LCD as your primary TV - watching cable and watching regular dvd's (not HD), which would be better between the two (Regza or Samsung)?
