there are generally 2 types of st70's. the classic ones are the earlier production. these are tube-rectified and with cloth-covered transformer wires. these are the sought after ones.

stock st70's (orig parts, good tubes) and plays well, with no rust range from p20-30t depending on condition and brand of tubes.

expect to pay p3-5k more if factory wired.

for fully restored units, expect to pay p35-50k depending on parts and tubes used.

Sorry for late reply, sensible audio is in MCS and it is a Series 1 ST70....

You will find it as in stock which you will replace the Input/Output terminals....

Ok pa nman and i don't see the traces started to peel off. But still it is a stock driver board that made of phoenolic that eventually needs replacement. For now, since i don't have the replacement board, i'm planning to replace 7199's tube socket into ceramic gold plated

I suggest consider this amp, ST70/MA-B4 combo is a perfect match and classic....

You can't go wrong with it....

nice work, never thought aluminum could be polished like this, how long does the shine last on your unit?, I did the same to my 299D but after 2 days parang di kasing kintab nung first time ko siya pinalish...

one more question...after polishing di ba naging "BRIGHT" yung tunog ng scott mo

oo nga eh, naging "BRIGHT" kaya kinakailangan kong mag-shades pag nakikinig.

actually I am still undecided, the reason is I have an ST70 series II that I have not really used (NO tube pre-amp)... eventually I would sell either one, depending on what unit will be more of a match with the rest of my gear...
