The Weinstein Company and Genius Entertainment have announced  Halloween which stars Malcolm McDowell and Brad Dourif. This new Rob Zombie directed film will be available to own from the 18th December in seperate 2-disc rated, and 2-disc unrated editions. The director's cut will contain around 11 minutes of additional footage. Each DVD will include an audio commentary by writer/director Rob Zombie, an alternate ending, 17 deleted scenes with optional director commentary, a Re-Imagining Halloween documentary, a Conversation With Rob Zombie featurette, a Meet the Cast featurette, screen tests, bloopers, and more.

despite the harsh reviews, i dug this so-called "re-imagining"... definitely on my buying list.

Rob Zombie's earlier films are "unconventional" to say the least. Not my cup of tea.
