Blu-ray Player: Playstation 3 and Panasonic DMP-BD30K
Receiver/Pre-out: Denon 4308 DTS HD/DD+/Dolby TrueHD
This Panasonic BD player can send lossless DTS-MA and Dolby TruHD through HDMI 1.3 to the Denon 4308, which is one of the few processors that has the capability to handle these new lossless audio formats.
This is the first set-up that I've seen here which has this capability. The technology is so new that you need a combination of the latest hi-def players and the latest processors (or AVR).
I have been really curious about this type of set-up. How do the DTS-MA and Dolby TruHD, processed by the Denon, compare to normal DTS and DD soundtracks?
Thanks.
