Not much users of VSA and Naim. Floorstanders  tend to be boomy on my room (quite small room than some). If only floorstanders do work here in my room, I would have bought the Naim Ovator S-400 already. Thanks for the suggestion though. Sama ka when jopet auditions the LSA1.

bro my room is 11 feet by 12 feet and the dyns floor stander and now the harbs SHL5 do not sound boomy. i was actually afraid that the harbeths would give too much bass. buti na lang ayos lang. unless I'm deaf. baka room treatments lang kelangan or maybe masyado malakas ka mag pa tug tog. haha.

Yeah room treatments might help and yes I do listen loud sometimes.

If you dont want boomy bass, avoid loudspeakers with an enhanced mid bass response, some bookshelves are designed to have an elevated mid bass response, somewhere in the 50 to 60 hz range,  the effect is that the speakers sounds BIG for its size. At one time we compared the Nautilus bookshelf with the small entry level B&W CM1 (or the 685 not sure anymore ) The result was that the entry level bookshelf had "better" bass response.

Ok ang Amphion. Clean and detailed sounding with greater bass extension. Unfortunately, the unit I have isn't broken in yet so I can't give a more accurate review. It almost sounds like the LSA1 but I prefer my LSA1 on any count against the Argon3. And also another thing I noticed is the LSA1 can go much louder (or natatakot lang ako lakasan kasi nasa break-in stage pa). Are you considering the Amphion by any chance?

Amp also plays a role. The equipment should be level matched (price) with the speakers. The higher the range of the equipment the more controlled the sound will be. Just my opinion btw. But that being done in the HiFi show, then that confirms the result.

I think the LSA1 has the bigger woofer and bigger box right, Ported din ba yung Argon 3 ?  Have you tried audioning sealed bookshelf in your room ?

6.5" on the Argon3, rear ported (bigger than the LSA1)
6.25" on the LSA1, rear ported (very small compared to Argon3)

Cabinet size, I believe the LSA1 is bigger in depth (also due to the curved sides) but the Argon3 is taller and just a tad smaller in depth with the LSA1.

Haven't tried sealed bookshelf p. Only floorstander, Ovator S-400.

Haha. Busy kayo lahat eh. Ako din busy kaka-audition. 
Set kayo kelan pero this Saturday meron mag-audi ng LSA1.
