Lancito's Dedicated HT Room
« on: Feb 05, 2008 at 11:32 AM »
January 8, 2015

An upgrade long overdue and 5 years in the making.  Finally, a dedicated AV room.

-  PSB Imagine speakers system
-  PSB in ceiling speakers ready for DTS:X
-  Dual SVS SB13Ultra
-  Parasound Halo A51
-  Marantz SR6010
-  Mede8er 600X3D
-  Four seater Palliser Feedback 100% premium black leather
-  Sony KDL-70W830B LED TV
-  24 sq.m dedicated room

System downgrade to Wharfedale Diamond 10 LCR.  ;D August 2012

New addition to my system.  Panasonic Viera TH-P50V20...GWAPO!  (10-4-10)

________________________________________________________________________________________

Same old system, new bedroom. 1/16/10

UPDATES :  July 1, 2009

Finally completed my Monitor Audio RS HT set-up with the addition of the RSFX from SGT.

Got the aluminum badge from my friend's old MA Radius and placed it on the grills. ;D

My Epik Sentinel and Antimode 8033 in place.  THE BEST.

That's all folks.  Next upgrade after 10 years. ;)

UPDATES : June 15, 2009

New subwoofer Epik Sentinel but haven't had time to install yet.  This also came with my Antimode 8033.

UPDATED : MARCH 3, 2009

Balik REL T1 muna ako on an Auralex board.  Even though it does not go as low as my SVS,  the sound is soooo much better and tighter on top of my GRAMMA.  SVS is overkill for my room.

Upgraded my front speakers also to Monitor Audio RS1 and RSLCR.

That's all folks. ;)

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Not much but it's good enough for now.

My system :

Panasonic TH-42PWD8G Plasma
Denon AVR-2808
Pioneer DV-696 DVD player
Speakers : Monitor Audio BR2 (fronts), Monitor Audio BRLCR (center), Dai-Ichi LS32 rears, Atlantic Technology T70PBM (subwoofer), REL T1 subwoofer, and SVS 20-31 PCI.
Bada LB-5500 Line Conditioner
Bell'O AVS-522 rack
Sabre Sentinel 50cm speaker stands

And finally, the love of my life....my son Lorenzo.   :)

Thanks ctlim.  The T70PBM is actually good for mid sized rooms.  I've had it for quite a while already and the performance is undeniably superb.  It is a sealed type sub 120W and made in USA.  Wala naman reklamo.

HA! Same words here I would say for my child!  :-* Nice one daddy!!!  ;)

We have the same fan! hehe, kaya pala ayaw ni missis tanggalin!  :D

AT makes good subs, and the power ratings are deceiving. Its actually more.

Great choice of receiver!

1st time Denon user.  When I get a bigger place, id definitely consider getting Bada power amps!

Bro, what kind of rears do you think I can replace the Dai-Ichi satellites with?  But note, I don't have 2 side walls.  One side is a door.  Therefore, the existing place where the satellites are will be the exact place I will put the new speakers.  Can you recommend a brand and model?

The racks from MatZ are also nice.  Try checking out Sabre racks at your nearest A/V stores. :)

You know what, you can check out the brand Gecko A/V racks at Avant Store in Trinoma.  They say it is designed in Australia and manufactured in China.  Width of some of the racks are up to 1400MM.  Haba!  Looks nice din.  Prices range from 12K - 15K as well.  Go check it out.

Thanks docelmo!  I try not to think about upgrades but I want to change my rear speakers.  I don't know if I should go for the BR1 or the BRFX which are both currently out of stock.

They are only ordinary blue fluorescent lights you can buy from you local hardware stores.  You have choices of 4T or 5T.  4T are easier to conceal kasi manipis lang siya.  You can make provisions behind the set up but partially cover it or itago mo away sa system.  Nakaka interfere ang florescent if masyado malapit.  Goodluck!

Thank you for the info sir this would be my next project para my konting effect yung ht ko. I also read that lighting also help para hindi ma-stress masyado yung mata mo sa kapapanood. :) Tanong ko lang kung papaano nyo tinago? Nilagay nyo lang ba sa strategic na lugar na hindi masyado napapansin?

Hi Lancito, excellent rig bro.  Particularly love the last shot of your kid.  Have a 5-year old girl and couldn't agree with you more.  They are the ones who really provide the inspiration for us to grind it out everyday in the workplace (...and get some $ for SARS as well hehe...).  ;)

I don't think so bro. This is way beyond "good enough". It's awesome! Nothing beats spending quality time with our kids and enjoying our hobby at the same time.  Congrats.  ;)

Actually, nilagay ko lang sa ilalim ng glass ng tv rack ko.  Behind the front speakers na malayo sa AVR.  Hope this helps.
