Pathetic marked down prices by:
Warner --> didn't look much at their box sets, but most other titles retained their sale price at other stores; and if you're looking for marked down prices on new titles, you're in for a big disappointment. The Warner table is noticeably devoid of bargain hunters.
Sale showdown between:
Viva & Magna --> even the reps seem to be having a slight argument. I was lurking around near the Magna rep, who at one time, was in a light conversation with who I believe to be the Viva rep. I think the Viva rep was questioning the Magna rep on how they got to lower their prices to ridiculously LOW levels. I didn't eavesdrop too long, but it seems the Magna lady answered by saying that whenever Viva is having a nationwide sale, Magna is forced to lower their prices as well. Something like that.
The winner:
Magna --> it's a close tie with Viva, but on the whole, Magna offered the cheaper DVD deals between the two.
The verdict:
Personally, this is THE BEST Astro Sale ever! Prices have gone to record lows, you can't count how many costumers are carrying full shopping baskets (which can accomodate around 40 DVD's). Mucho kudos to Magna and Viva! And to Warner, please be generous next time. Warner used to be the darling of DVD sales. What's happening?
