Games should stream multichannel PCM if they are multichannel. Dolby Digital Live and DTS Connect are unnecessary for this connection.

Just check my HTPC actual wattage consumption with 2x2TB samsung and 1TB WD green idle @40W and bluray playing 2D/3D 70-80W.

Get the lates A?MD A10-5800k it will surely beat the i3. I just tested my AMD 10-5700 65W get from amazon with battle filed 3 max settings yan mas stress pa kesa sa pag play ng movies pero walang kalag lag.

SSD will add fast opening of file or programs but as they said at TPC when your software is running its like 7200rpm hdd already on the response.

Suggest ko get DDR3-1866 or better kung A10 build.



Going with DDR3-1866 can still yield a sizeable improvement over DDR3-1600 with GPU-intensive tasks (9.1% increase in frame rate in this case). Kung video only kaya naman ng DDR3-1600, but things do get snappier with fast and low latency memory sa most ng ganitong mga shared memory designs.

For the OS drive, you can get a value/mainstream 120/128GB SSD for <4k. It's a more comfortable size, and it's unlikely that there'd be a huge difference in performance for HTPC use.

Get a decent and quiet modular power supply if the budget permits, and a casing with ample space and airflow. Consider an aftermarket HSF if you want to keep noise down (unless you plan on underclocking/undervolting).

Baka naman kasi sa iyo yung lag sobrang OC mo saka baka naman hardcore gamer kasi FPS ka na nag babase sa akin kasi di naman ako nag babase sa FPS pero sa experience ko ala talaga lag. Casual gamer na lang kasi ako now pero yung lag naman wala talaga ako naexperience with my 51 inch 720p samsung. Di ko pa natext sa PJ ko natatamad kasi ako. Di kasi ako mahilig mag check sa FPS basta di lag ok na sa akin ang lag. Basta smooth play okay na yan. Iba iba naman kasi tayo ng experience sa lag and kung ano ung malag or hindi.

Di kasi ako ma OC sa FPS but i know what is laggy and not a laggy i also play online games.
