Im looking for a really -cheap- dvd player that can upscale as well. 720p is enough, but the higher the better, the important thing is the price.

theres a xenon player that sells for around 4k with hdmi cable na yun. but if i were you add a couple off hunderds theres a toshiba hdmi player on sale sa sm appliances in greenhills from 6800 4700 nlng sya ngyn. add a few more hundreds at 4995 you get a philips dvp 6620 which is a really nice looking wall mount dvd hdmi player

usually gamit ko ang downloaded avi files, kundi mga 'blueray' copies.

bro archie, ano ang exact model ng orange mo, kasi meron akong nakitang orange model dvd-122 na maliit lang at parang lumang model na, walang usb at mp3 lang hindi pa mpeg 4.

the model should be dv-122mp4, mukhang mas malapad kaysa luma.

pros: upscaling 720p 1080i. currently enjoying 'blueray' pixar animations.

cons: 1)  usb input at rear of unit.
         2) playback limited at 90 mins or so. i have to split 2 hr avi's into two. bad...
             dati i experienced it sa mga dvd's, mayroon inadjust so okay na.
             pero recently nanyari sa avi's mp4, no time pa fix. 
         3) no dts decoder? can't confirm, but those 'blueray' dts output won't give out a squeak.

 i think what he means is he is playing bluray rips of pixar animated movies in .avi format.

sir eto ba yung may sariling battery na dvd player so kung naka wallmount sya hindi na ikakabit sa wall outlet?

nope the philips 6620 does not have a battery input it still uses the standard plug pwede lang sya wallmount
