digibox improves picture quality from 210k pixel analog broadcast to 480i (307k pixel) standard definition broadcast.
however, to maximize your LCD TV (HD Ready) it is recommended to get at least 720p / 1080i
to check if your sky connection is now fully digital, you should not be able to watch on your tv if connected coax direct to tv.

Having a connection by bypassing Sky's digibox does not necessarily mean your line isn't fully digital.
Damn, Pentium4, what are you trying to prove here. Are you trying to say that your Cignal service is better than Sky.
Sky's cable lines are hybrid, meaning it can carry both Analog and Digital signals.
The analog signal can easily be turned off if Sky determined the area has rampant signal theft and piracy.
Sky's analog signal will also be turned off eventually if Sky needs all the analog frequency for its digital service and once the government gives out the go signal for all tv broadcasters and pay-tv providers to go digital.
