« on: Jun 05, 2008 at 01:06 AM »
Hi Audio Gurus,

Would like to inquire what is the best setup for these:
- 4 tower speakers (2 front 2 rear or all 4 towers in front)
- 4 satellite spears (2 front 2 rear)

Which is better 4 tower or 4 satellite speakers?

All of them of have center and sub.

The best set up is the 5.1 set up, 2 fronts and 2 rears for complete surround experience.

Hi Audio Gurus,

Usually, tower speakers are normally found in higher end equipments and htib so they should sound better but there are instances that the tower and satellite speakers have the same drivers so they sound the same. If this is the case, it would depend on your available space or if you like the option of wall mounting but for me, I would choose the tower speakers.

By the way, where are you going to use this and what is the brand?

IMHO, i'd go w/ the slim towers.. 2 up front and 2 on the rears..

I've tested some satt speakers and the sounds are a little bit muddy.. just me lang..

Would plan to buy Samsung HTIB and will just place in my bedroom.
This would be 60% movie and 40% audio.

Thanks for this input.

Try considering Sony or Pioneer HTiB since it sounds better than Samsung when it comes to audio.

Sony DAV-DZ555K
Pioneer: not familiar with model numbers

It is best that you listen to each of them and decide which fits your taste.
Don't you have plans of going separates?
