how about Ovation? 22" approx 11k. though not aesthetically, not as attractive sa una mong nakita.

aoc is generic but.. i would say its reliable naman.. hehe my current 32" lcd sa room is actually aoc..

I WILL SWEAR for AOC based on the longevity and craftsmanship of my own. I am one of the early folks who availed of AOC's promo to established its name. In 2002, AOC accepted my old CRT monitor as a trade-in for a LCD unit. My old, discolored set is valued at P4,000, which was then debited from the new LCD's price. Today, June 2009, the AOC has never let me down eversince, it remained sharp and trouble-free. At 19 inches which is just right for my working table's dimension, I'd hope for the best that this AOC will served for another 9 years. I had no cause ever to complain.

On the other hand, on the event its the rightiest time to buy a high definition LCD TV, I'd go for an AOC.  Things to sear unto the mind: AOC could sell very competitively, it might be able to sell a 40-inch LCD for less, less than Sony, Panasonic or Sharp is asking. AOC could produced a unit thats at par - pixel for pixel, resolution for resolution - with the picture quality of its more distinguished competition. As one might noticed, the only popularly-priced home theater-grade LCDs is relegated to the 32 inchers. This could costs to as low as P25,000 to P35K. For me thats democratic pricing, its a budget that most Filipino homes and family could shoot for. But noticed still, at 42-inches LCD zooms up in price, with the cheapest starting from say, P69,000 and ha-ha-higher. For me thats oppressive territory, it cease being populist-oriented. Pioneer even sells its smallest Kuro plasma at P110,000. Ayun bankrupt na siya. If not for the installment incentives of the appliance stores, very few Pinoys would be crazy enough to plunk that money for a 40, 42 or 50 inch LCD TV. Mabigat naman talaga eh.

Hence, I'm hopeful AOC would give the competition something to dread for. Give us, the masa, a 42-incher that costs around P35,000. Or a 50 inch model for P40K. When that happens, thats the only occasion that my home could finally have those thin TVs which could be bought FROM the computer stores and not from the mulcting, price-gouging appliance scoundrels like Abenson, Avid, Western and all those lecherous chains.

I don't know if this is the right place to post my message but here we go...

I'm also looking for the best 19 inch WS LCD monitor, to replace my old 19 inch Viewsonic CRT monitor that I still use to this date.

Any word on the Sammy, AOC, MAG, or even Viewsonic? The LCD will be attached to my PC for general use.

Many many thanks in advance. (budget 15k-25k)

Carlo try to find LCD monitors made by Eizo or NEC.  These are the 2 makers na popular among graphic designers.  Hopefully, pasok yung 25K na budget.

@Clondalkin

Ang ganda, but I may have to stretch my budget for that. I'm not sure if the Flexscan series is available here, if it is, I guess it's the best choice!

@gunblade977

I'll look at that also, thanks.

Hi Carlo.  I count around 5 HDTVs for you alone.  If you get rid of 1, you'd still be left with 4, then you'd have more than enough budget for this Eizo.   :)  Ang tanong mo kase yung THE BEST diba?   ;D

BTW, a "normal" LCD monitor can barely manage 75% Adobe RGB Gamut and will certainly not give you an angle of view as wide as your plasmas   ;)

Sabagay, you might as well use your 550 as PC monitor, pero medyo masakit and torture sa mata yung malaki diba, especially for heavy computing?

Hehe...I tested the A550 as a pc monitor and did not really like the over-all performance. Maganda yung colors ng Viewsonic ko na CRT, and your post got my attention immediately because my old CRT was also used by graphic designers.

I'll check those models you mentioned and one of them may fit in nicely. My guess, baka nasa 30k up yan locally.

This NEC looks interesting too.

I was actually thinking of NEC's 2490W IPS panel (this particular model is really really popular among enthusiasts) but it's still very expensive relative to these new Eizo models...and I'm kinda like an Eizo fanboi...   ;D
