as advertised in the The Incredibles DVD - R3 Release, a new release of Disney's Tarzan is on its way. R2 Release has been officially announced.

Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced the release of Tarzan: Special Edition for the 9th of May. The retail price for this two-disc set is going to be somewhere in the region of Â£21.99, and we've attached a full list of features and artwork below.

this is one of Disney's under rated animation wonder. the r2 release would coincide with the Tarzan II release. not sure why the R1 was somehow delayed.

Knowing Hollywood studios' penchant for re-releasing old titles, I wouldn't be surpirsed if there'd be an anniversary edition that contains both.

From the information that's available online, it looks like there might not be an R1 release of this version. It hasn't been announced yet.

Maybe it's like the 1-disc Pinocchio: SE or 1-disc Alice in Wonderland: SE - released only outside North America?

Yes, it's out locally, but surprisingly, I didn't find it in the Astros that I frequent - Greenhills and Podium. I kept on waiting, but I eventually got my copy at Tower Records.

Did anyone else have difficulty finding this title?

just bought this title and disc 2 ONLY had backstage disney and NOT all the bonus features (games, deleted scenes, music videos) as printed at the back and on the insert!!! It's really a rip-off by viva!!!

Dude, there's NO rip-off here, at least not on the copy I bought. The games, deleted scenes and music videos are all on Disc One of the set.
