Tried XMBC on 64 bit Ubuntu ... lots of problems (with me
) so I'll probably just bite the bullet and buy another Windows license. Should I use the 32 bit or 64 bit version (bought 8Gb of RAM)?
I do have a soft spot for Open Source. Who doesn't like a freebie? However in the 25 years I've been using all sorts of open source, I still have never been able to shift my desktop. IMHO, Windows is just better though servers are a different matter for me. Does anyone have a idiot-proof open source, non-XBMClive, desktop solution for an HTPC?
OT: About 25 years ago I remember buying 16 KILO BYTES of DRAM for about what I just paid for 4 GIGA bytes of RAM. Galing.
