Samsung does not have a reputation for making good plasmas. 

I'd appreciate it if you would share with us why you prefer Samsung plasmas.

I really haven't formed an opinion on Samsung plasmas and would like to see for myself. Reviews aside, PQ, black levels, etc. are really subjective. I'm just hoping I'd find a nice plasma within my budget. I've seen the Kuro, Panny, and LG plasmas, but I haven't seen a Samsung.

this is also the tv that i want, a samsung plasma 50" A550 series . I was about to get this sa US since no one sells it here but was skeptical about not breaking it in the shipping process. Samsung plasma's are similar to panasonic's although ill admit panasonic's still have a small advantage in pq. But some reviews are already placing the samsungs at par with the panasonic plasmas. The best out there are still the pioneer kuro's, no doubt about that.

I hope that the SOLID group would release the samsung plasma's here.
