E-reply,

would the 35k price of the Samsung 5 series will still go down on Dec 15 - 17?

The P35K is already sale price for Dec. 15 to 17. On Dec 18, we shall sell it at regular P38K.

bro, the LE8 is up to 1080i...bang for buck talaga pare...I'm lovin' mine for PS3 and anime ;D

PinoyDVD newb here but already a long-time member of PXB and PinoyPS. Lovin' my 32LE8 too bro but I can't seem to maximize it for my PS3. Can you share your settings for both your 32le8 and PS3?  :D

I was able to get sharp, great colors and PQ with my Xbox 360 using VGA input at 1366x768 resolution.

I can't seem to get the same quality with my PS3 gaming and BDs back then when I was using a 22inch LCD monitor thru HDMI-DVI-D cable. Now I'm using 720p with my PS3 and I still notice jaggies and a little washed out color. I don't think it's with the cable 'coz I think I'm using a high quality shielded cable worth P1k naman.

Which is the better buy between the Samsung 32a550 (full hd) at 35,000 and Panasonic LX80 (not full HD but IPS Alpha) at 33,000?

i'm still undecided between Pana 32LE8 or the Toshiba 32AV500....parang mas matimbang sa ken yung panasonic but i'll be using it 50% for PC. Malaki ba difference ng 2 as PC monitor? I've used the Samsung 22A450 for PC at ok naman sa ken...how would you compare the 2 with Samsung A450?

thanks...sana ganoon nga eh kaso i'm in the province right now. i'll just ask someone to buy it for me so that i can avail of the promo price kahit wala ako sa manila...yung uutusan ko is not a videophile unlike most in this forum kaya i rely na lang on pdvd's members reviews and comments and those who actually compared them side by side using a PC.

I compared the two models (dvd viewing only, not PC) and PQ is excellent. I actually prefer the Toshiba in terms of color (TW already edited the settings for Pana, standard settings only for the Tosh), plus it's a hard panel making viewing easy at all angles. We also noticed (me and Em from TW) some noise in the Pana when playing blu-ray. +1 though for the Pana for sound, but not much difference. I went home with the Tosh, saving me 2K and giving me a much sexier LCD in terms of design :)

kung matimbang na pala sa'yo panasonic then go for it na, maganda rin naman yung labas ng PC sa LE8 kahit VGA lang sya...kahit manood ng streaming ok din siya...and the text could be easily read

besides if I reckon up to 720p lang yung tosh tapos 1080i na yung Pana...pero kung sa design talaga talo talaga Pana LE8 sa Toshiba or even other LCD brands tulad ng older models ng Samsung

in terms of comparision to the A450 one of the members here, I can't remember who prefers his LE8 now compared to his A450

1080i din yung AV500 kaya malilito ka talaga pumili between the two hehe :) it would boil down to personal preference and budget na lang din since both models are on sale now

We played blu-ray source on Toshiba AV series and to our surprise the screen lights up on either 1080i or 1080p. This proves that Toshiba AV series supports 1080i and 1080p.

oh.. may difference kaya yung 32av500 and 32av500u? nacurious tuloy ako, so i googled the specs of the av500. paiba iba sya, sa iba nakalagay nga 720p (sa tosh site, lahat ng lcds nila 720p lang) while sa ibang sites 1080i hd ready daw. baka naman 1080i "capable" lang hehe. anyway here are the sites:

since we are in asia, look at the regza asia site. i think toshiba launches different specs even if they are same model number. my panel is a c3500, which is a 720p native screen that can accept 1080p. but if you look at same model in japan, this model is a full hd panel.

the regza asia site is for asian market outside of japan. the specs shown there is most probably what you will be getting when you get it at our "suking " av store here.

Take our word. We tested the AV series and were convinced that it support 1080i and 1080p.

Sir, baka naka full rgb yung ps3 nila, go to display setting and set your rgb to limited, also switch on super white from your ps3. Pag jaggies yung problema try to go to cinema or standard from your t.v then lower your sharpness.

Let mw know^

Nakalimited lang dude yung RGB setting ko. And naka On na rin yung Super white. I tried adjusting the sharpness kaso nagiging blurry naman. I've been using standard all the time, but I tried dynamic and adjusting the contrast so medyo nagiging mas ok naman sya on other games kaso selected pa rin, not applicable to all games. Anyway, thanks bro for the help. Sa'yo ko nakuha yung sa Super White and tried it if it helps, which it did naman.  ;D Thanks sa'yo and kay sir Jeff for the settings.

Though di sya kasinglinaw, kasingsharp at kasingswabe ng output thru a 22" LCD monitor I previously used, mas ok na rin yung ganito and way bigger and more enjoyable. Baka naninibago lang ako moving up from 22" to 32" hehe at nagiging OC sa resolution.  :D
