Did Viva still use the Platinum monicker? I think Disney in the US had dropped that line and is calling it plainly as the 2-discs version. The Diamond Collection is limited to the Bluray version, if I am not wrong.

Hopefully, this is a not gold-stamped slipcase like Pinocchio. All those gold-stamped slipcases are poorly built and doesn't fit the Amaray (wannabee) case snuggly. That said, I am a bit disappointed that Viva didn't conjure up any fancy packaging for this one, when the first Snow White was released seven or eight years ago, they released the VCD on round tin, which I still display alongside my steelbooks. No such luck this time around, it seems...

Paging Viva, It's time you try steelbooks. It sells DVDs, and at premium prices too... Just ask Magnavision...

No. Actually, it's just "2-Disc DVD" or something like that, that's written on the cover. Not Platinum Edition.

For those who bought this new edition as well as the 2001 release, are there differences in these two releases? Any additional special features?

Also, can anyone confirm if this is the same as 2-DVD set to be released on November 24 in the US?

Would appreciate feedback on this before I consider buying this. Thanks!

Yup. There is. It seems to be the same as the first 2 discs of the Quadrilogy boxed set.

i got one from odyssey, park square yesterday, slipcased (the one with top & bottom flaps), b1t1 @ 450; i'm not sure if it's a re-release though

Saw this too earlier today, I'm not sure if I'll get this or not. There are no indications on the cover with Special Features or something. Would you guys know if our version of Lost Season 5 has Special Features like R1?

Not necessarily new but I saw several R3 copies of this:

Remember during this same time last year when Viva re-released their stock of Snow white, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King with Snow White and BatB being one-discers?

Now, it seems Viva has also removed the 2nd disc off TLK. Inalog ko pa to confirm. It was light.

When I bought this during its first re-release back in February, the cover art says 2-Disc Special Edition. Now, it only says Special Edition. Mukhang tama tuloy ang hinala ko na kaya hindi nawala ang 2nd disc during the first re-release unlike SW and BatB ay dahil sinabi na sa front cover na 2-Discers siya. Well, at least now Viva cared to reprint

Apparently, there was but I would assume stocks were limited. I got mine at Podium during the most recent sale. Kinuha ko na agad nung makita because nun ko lang nakita yun.

Magna should've just imported the R1 edition of the Star Trek DVD, like with Transformers 2. The "3D" packaging looks ugly.
