I got the 4300 from Hometheater last April and paired it w/ a mission set up.

M73
M7c2
M71

The sub is custom made by "A Audio" (Boom Baby)

I have an extra rear center (Wharfedale diamond) but I have not connected it yet.

Ganda ng performance ng Marantz & Mission even though generic transparent wires lang ang mga speaker cables ko at yung mga interconnects are from Ace Hardware.

I think he's going to use it as rear center kasi the marantz 4300 is already 6.1

Ras,

I'll be using it as a rear center as what Courage said. My original plan was to get the 5300 but according to my ears and with the same speakers tested (M74 as fronts), there is not much of a difference bet. the 43 & the 53. The 6300 is a differnt story  in terms of sound quality...(sorry for me I did not have enough dinero although the seller offered me a 30 day credit.

That's why on my way home I got the wharfs from Shang since I downgraded to the 4300. I did not have the chance to install it with my system and it is still in the box.  I'll probably test it in due time since I still enjoy the 5.1 and I only have 2 DVDs encoded in DD-EX & DTS-ES.

Question sa mga 4300 users.

Thanks.

Reference point ko is -12db.
Pag acoustic ang sound, i raised it to -5bd

Concert DVDs mga -18 to -14

Sa music, I tortured test the AVR, although mabilisan lang. I set it to the maximum volume, +18, pero smooth, clear and solid  pa rin yung sound.

Kaso ang bilis mag-init.

Pare wag kang matakot na palakasin ang volume, as long as hindi nag didistort ang sound eh oks yan and also as long as ayos ang ventilation u can crank up the volume to rock ur house.

Just came from sonny's home theater auditioned the 4300 definitely getting it.....problema ko yung speakers my budget was set on buying wharfedales pero ng marinig ko yung mission speakers na naka hook up sa marantz (m73, m7c2 and the m70) parang mas gusto ko yata na mag mission although the set-up will take longer to complete (a lot longer!).  Pero tama din si sonny if i get the mission speakers the itch to upgrade will be lesser.  What do you guys think?

dracula,

Have you also auditioned the Marantz 4300 paired with Wharfedales?

Well, if you really want the sound of the missions. Go for it. Get the fronts first then the center speaker and the sub. Then konting ipon na lang, you can have speakers for surrounds.

Wag kang magmamadali, maraming nagkakamali sa pagiging impulsive buyer and we ended up selling what we have just bought then bibilhin natin yung talagang gusto natin. In the long run, mas nalulugi tayo.

This is my opinion.

Haven't heard the marantz paired with the wharf's saan ba pwede para maka decide na ako if the price difference is worth it.

Napapanganga ako at parang live. Enveloping yung surround nya considering break in period and open space ung place ko dahil wala pa syan second floor at my distractions pa from the outside.

Dracula,

I recommend na you do it slowly as what other people have mentioned. Go fo the items that you are really satisfied kahit medyo matagalan.

Ako nga, I saved for sometime para to get the Mission kasi I know na sulit talaga sya na investment.

dracula,Better go with the missions.I was in the same boat as you 3 weeks ago,I was really confused to the point of not sleeping, thinking how much money i can save if i go with the wharfs.but I eventually gave in to the majoritys opinion to go with the missions .one thing I can say is thats it's money well spent and I have no regrets.but i must forwarn you that it's very hard  if you think that you can endure a piece by piece acquisition(unless you have the discipline of mahatma gandhi :),because ones you get the ball rolling it's definitly hard to stop and I wont be surprised if you complete your setup in a matter of weeks. :)

I know what you mean. Although I want to complete it na I can only go as fast as my wallet can permit ;D.
