Can anyone confirm the model number of Audyssey setup mic that the latest Marantz receivers are using? and if logitech harmony remote will do the task of the original remote by Marantz? Need your help guys.

Got a 90s PM44SE late last year and I can say ang ganda talaga ng sq ng marantz sulit na sulit kahit used.

Okay yan AV7005. Nasubok namin ni Nelson a couple of years ago sa house ng friend connected sa Butler amps, Electra speaks and Velodyne DD+ sub.

Actually it's the av8801. The top of the line processor from marantz. It should be very good. The av7005 is the older model costing $1,600. They also have a newer model av7701 costing $1,700 which is also very good. :)

Specs wise it's very good!!!
Price wise it's beyond our reach.
Pero for sure maganda ito for a Pre/Pro!!!

mga sirs ot lang po, am an owner of a marantz sr 5500, ask ko lang po kung pwede at pano linisin ung loob nun receiver coz i've noticed that d unit heats up faster than before...sinilip ko cya dun sa mga vents & noticed the accumumlated dust sa internals parts nya...tnx in advance for d advices...

You can disassemble the top cover by just removing the screws then sliding it backwards then up. Then just brush away the dust or better yet use a vacuum cleaner.

Very interesting and intriguing at the same time. Technically speaking, what components and features does AV 8801 has over AV 7701 except for the obvious 11.2 channel vs. 7.2 channel that made it more than twice as expensive?  Among the three AV 8801, PR SC 5509 and AV 7701, which is the best bang for the bucks Pre/Pro at this price range? Thanks!
