Totally chilled out yesterday and watched the following in mkv:

Madadayo (too cliche for someone who lives in Japan - I got bored in the party scenes because we do that quite often in office gatherings - OA yung reaction sa cat but I have some Japanese friends who actually wept so hard when their pets died (meron pang ceremony) - probably interesting for someone not familiar with Japanese customs)

Milk (galing umarte ni Sean Penn. very convincing).

Seven Pounds (almost 90% of the way, I still couldnt figure out what the title is all about, but naiyak ako sa huli)

Transporter 3 (pampagaang ng feeling after some heavy drama. Jason Statham rocks when surrounded by crooks but I like to see him bleed and get hit a little bit more)

Zwartboek (interesting storyline - I played the movie to make me sleepy by reading subs, but ended up watching until 1:30am. I don't recall ever watching a non adult movie where the main female actress is shown dyeing her hair blonde downunder.)

Redacted in mkv - I can understand why this Brian de Palma movie/doc bombed in the US box office because the subject/message is very sensitive but as for the bad reviews of critics - I dont get it. This movie is pretty harrowing.

Basic Instinct 2 in mkv - bloody terrible movie. a sequel too little too late. Didnt know that Sharon Stone had a boob job.

Opera anyone?

I tried Aida in mkv. Very first time to watch an opera. I thought I would probably fall sleep. But with clear DTS sound and full concentration, laglag ang panga ko instead. The stage set was absolutely awesome. And the experience listening to that kind of singing is surreal yet captivating. Ganon pala yon.

It's not for us.

Twilight is very good, except that the target audience is teenage girls. On that premise, I don't think reading the book will change your mind.

Taking Chance in mkv: Eto makabagbag damdamin, very simple plot, only 1 hour 20 mins, but well made HBO movie. It's touching how much respect Americans give to their fallen soldiers.
