This PAGE summarizes the off-season player movements so far.

Bowen will probably end up with one of the three contenders in the East - I read that Orlando is also a possibility. Patayan na sa East - but I still think Boston (+RWallace and maybe MDaniels) is the favorite (but what's going to happen to Big Baby?), with Orlando (+VCarter, Bass and Barnes) a close second. Cleveland (+Shaq, AParker, Moon) is not too bad either, but I still think they need more than that to surpass Boston and Orlando.

In the West, Dallas (apart from LA and San Antonio) has probably done the best job at building a contender: Kidd-JHoward-Marion-Nowtizki-Dampier, +JTerry, Gooden, TThomas and solid role players off the bench. Not bad...

...7 of their 9 games, on Dec 12 to 28, 2009, are on the road, including a 5-game road trip
...12 of their 15 games, on Jan 6 to Feb 1, 2010, are on the road (back-to-back road games against Texas Triangle teams Dallas and San Antonio; 8-game road trip, includes Cleveland and Boston)
...11 of their 15 games in March 2010 are on the road (3-game east coast road trip; 3-game pacific division road trip; 5-game road trip, includes San Antonio, New Orleans and Atlanta)

Let's just see how far Blair's knees will take him. The rigorous schedule (82 games regular season plus playoffs) of the NBA is far-different than the NCAA. Plus, he'll probably man up against bigger players. Hope his knees though are ok and make the Spurs look good in drafting him. The kid really has potential.

The new NBA season is finally here!

Stumbled upon this LINK, which provides the weekly broadcast schedule of CS/9 for the new NBA season. Very helpful info for someone like me who still does not have BTV (for reasons beyond my control). Thank God there will be weekly telecasts from ESPN and Star Sports as well.

Re today's live double-header, BOS @ CLE should be a good one. Blake Griffin's injury dampens the excitement for the LAL-LAC game though.

Boston over Cavs, spoils Shaq's debut. I think a healthy Boston with Rasheed Wallace is always a title contender. As I write this, LA is leading LAC by 10 in the 2nd Quarter. Artest 8 points, 4 assists. I am rooting for another LA - Boston in the finals.

I've been googling this question but no answer yet: is a player credited with an assist if he passes to a teammate who is then fouled in the act of shooting, misses the shot but makes the two free throws?

And what's up with CS9? It seems like they're launching a new format tom. May NBA pa rin ata.
