Denon CD player
« on: Nov 09, 2009 at 04:48 PM »
I just got a quote on the new Denon cd player Denon dcd 510 and the price is close to nad 515bee.  I'm choosing between the two but I havent tried both, among the two which do you think produce a warmer and more laid back sound?

I think both are warmish, but the NAD would probably be warmer. :)

The only clear advantage of the Denon over the NAD is the headphone output. But even that can't drive the Denon AH-D5000 properly anyway. Why not listen to them both? avshop I think has this CDP in his shop. Just bring your own integrated amp as they only have AVR's in the showroom.

The last time I was there they had a Carat A57 integrated amp hooked up to the Denon CDP. The Carat happens to be a very nice sounding amp for the price, imho. Nagulat ako since most reviews na nakita ko about it aren't so great.
