I consider these titles my expensive DVDs in my collection:
The Indiana Jones (the complete DVD collection)
Jurassic Park Trilogy
Back to the Future (complete set)
Superman (complete set)
soon... I'll add Alien Quadrilogy ::)

Now after a long wait, got my own Alien Quadrilogy (9-Disc Set) this is currently the most expensive DVD I've bought!!! ;D

The Nightmare on Elm Street Collection.

There are still sales of this box set in US retail stores, however the cost of it doesnt go down. The BEST DEAL you could get with this is at least $87 (excluding taxes)

I heard that there would be re-release economical version on the way on September?

xage, in terms of PQ and SQ, Hard Boiled is not so worth it. having the CC label is a different story though. i let go of the set anyhow.

I agree.. the CC label has a huge impact.. both that and the other John Woo film The Killer carries that huge Price Tag!

A few months ago, I chanced upon this title and could never pass this up the moment I saw it:

Bought this 5-disc set for P2,150.00 at an AV store located in Sta. Lucia. A perfect collector's item for a DVD 'n' music addict.

That would have been my most expensive.  I remember that when it was still available and on sale.  I was about to order it and have to think it over for a day but I decided to order it was out of stock already.  It was the bigest ^@^@%^ mistake.  It's number 1 for my wishlist.  By the way it's the japan ver. that I' planning to buy not the UK ver.

aldrinpsx, ngayon ko nga lang napansin. medyo malaki nga pag pinagsama.

i find it wiser to spend my moneys on LE DVDs since i am not into grand HT setup. i find my simple 'regular release' HT Setup satisfying . besides, got no space to house an elaborate one.

also, i only have less than an hour each day to watch DVDs/TVs but more than 12 hours to admire these sweet LEs.

pilian lang siguro. hehehehehe.

 ;) ;) 8)

Me too.  I don't own a grand home theater.  But that's my dream.  but when there's a Le that is that I like.  Sometimes I click on "CHECK OUT" with out even thinking tomorrow.  It's like that I'm hypnotized. :)  But when they arrived and sum them up.  I kept telling myself.  "I could get a B&W speaker for this"  or "I Could get an AVR" outch. ;D

But Like hemi as said.  I like to stare at them at appreciate them.  Sa totoo lang I don't watch my DVD's anymore so sooooooooobrang busy at work and with my family.  And btw.  My daughter owns the TV and DVD na. :)

I'm not a big spender on DVD's.  Many of my DVD's (more than 20%) were given to me, thanks to generous relatives in the US.  I bought LOTR:TT Extended while the other two, FOTR and ROTK (both extended) were given to me.

The most expensive DVD I bought was Phil Collins: Finally... The First Farewell Tour, which set me back P1,500.  The second most expensive would be the LOTR:TT extended (my entire set of LOTR extended edition costs less than the Phil Collins DVD!).

For me the most expensive DVD I bought so far is the Howls Moving Castle (Korean Limited Edition) at P3k.  Followed by the Myth Limited Edition by Avant Garde, Band of Brothers Tin Edition, at Ultimate Matrix Collection (without the bust)  at P2.5K, P2K at P2.5K.  8) 8)

Now Im eyeing on Narnia Limited Edition from UK (Exclusive from Amazon UK).   ;)
I might take you down but i will never let you down
