Title: Projector Brightness and resolution
Post by: qguy on Oct 21, 2015 at 10:19 AM
i know brightness and resolution of the projector is affected by the screen size. But if the screen size is constant but the distance of the projector is increased from 2.5 meter to 5 meters, will brightness/resolution be reduced as well ? If yes, will it be significant ?

Theoretically, di dapat. Yung irradiance (flux per unit area) ay ganon pa din. May konting konting scattering lang ng light na madadagdag.

Moving the projector from 2.5m to 5m will increase the projected size by at least 1.5x, surely the brightness will be reduced. I don't think there are projectors that let you retain the screen size with double the distance.

You mean using the zoom of the projector, to maintain the size of the projected image? There are NO projectors to hold that distance that will not affect the screen size using the zoom lens. For 5 meters absolutely you can see the significant reduced in brightness of the projected image.
