Any jologs here in pinoydvd forum? ;)
Hi guys
Korean movies and telenovelas are really "in" these days.
I really like My Sassy Girl, Il Mare, The Classic, and so on....
Just recently, I borrowed "Lover's in Paris" and boy, I'm glued to my sit watching this. I really liked it. This is the first telenovela that my whole family (including my yayas) watched together (but of course through dvds na since we dont really watch any telenovela on TV)
This leaves me to my next question, what korean telenovela do you recommend we should watch next? My friend/neighbor have Stained Glass, Last Dance, Full House, etc. What should I borrow first?
Any jologs here in pinoydvd forum? ;)
They're remaking IL MARE for Hollywood, you know? Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are said to star in it but I don't know if this is a done deal.
My wife was addicted for a while to Winter Sonata... Si Jun.. si Jun ;D
Egg,
May yaya ka pa? Hehehehehe ;D
also try MEMORIES OF BALI ;D
one of the lead actors (paulo) is played by Jo In-Seong of The Classic and Madeleine movie. he is so darn cute 8)
now i know why you're ordering madeleine ;D
movie... i would recommend THE CLASSIC (definitely a classic korean drama)
hahahahaha ;D obvious ba? besides, cute naman ang premise of the movie eh....
pati sana The Classic kaya lang OOP na siya sa koreandvds eh...... :(
accdg to DVDheaven, there'll be a reprint of this movie. sana nga totoo because its a great movie 8)
series... recently watched FULL HOUSE, nakakatawa to ;)
hmm, sana nga may reprint yun The Classic para mapanood ko rin......... ;D
another koreanovela, is STAINED GLASS in ch. 2, where the actor from Lovers in Paris (Martin) will, hopefully get the girl this time...... ;D
Lover's Concerto is also a good film.
hey Egg "wonderful life" just started its tagalog dubbing, just wait na lang what channel :)
saw a poster of MY SASSY GIRL New Tagalog Version at G4 today. The photo used is the one on the cover of the director's cut dvd. To those who does not have a DVD copy, you can watch it in theaters dubbed (i think) in tagalog >:D don't know when nga lang.......
hmm, wonder how it would sound? hehehehehehehehe
i still prefer watching my dvd than hearing JJH speak tagalog ;D although it would be nice to view it in widescreen ::)
hahahaha! it would be fun though to hear how they would dub it though. and see if they would name JJH's character, coz as far as i recall, her character wasnt named in the movie. ;D
copying my post from the Most Recently Viewed DVD thread ;D

Innocent Steps
was interested in this movie because I thought it would be like a korean version of Strictly Ballroom. It started like Strictly Ballroom, the man is a pro teaching a newbie girl dancer. But it's more of a love story afterwards, not much of dance competition scenes. still, it's recommended for those who likes to watch love stories ;D especially if you're fond of Moon Geun-Young
sir egg, have you watched this yet? or can anybody comment on it? it's too expensive to buy kasi ;D

Happy Together (http://www.koreandvds.com/dvddetail.html?id=25363)
Really? I hope matuloy.
Would like to see how Keanu and Sandra will play the role.
Oh my... I'm sorry... I should have posted all my messages as one... I remembered something kasi after I have posted it.
Anyway, I'm actually not only into Korean films and tv series but also into Japanese and Taiwanese. Haha. I've just finished watching A Promise of Love at the Dolphin Bay nga eh. ;D ;D ;D
Here's the catch: Last last month, I finished watching the Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO) Live. It's a Jap TV series. I highly recommend you to watch this. Its concept was from its anime series. It's really really good. I'm pretty sure you'll like the story because the people whom I recommended the tv series loved it and some even burned it for their copy. One of my classmates even slept 4 am in the morning because she can't stop watching it. I tell you, the plot is pretty unique. There even came a time that I said to myself that the scriptwriter of GTO live must be really bright to have come up with such story. ::) ;D :D I promise you, you won't regret watching it.... ;D
are the movies My Little Bride and April Snow shown in cinemas also tagalized like My Sassy Girl? ???
My Little Bride is Tagalized, while April Snow is subtitled in English.
the korean soap ABS CBN is showing now: ONLY YOU is quite good
....
and My Name is Kim Sam Soon - recommended :) :) :)

There is something in here that really stuck in my head or is it in my heart that I don't know.
I felt something I can not describe that made my whole Sunday just thinking or do nothing.
I felt somehow what possibly the guy was feeling. :-[ drama ko....
he was cool. reminds me a lot of my tutor friend, guy fighter whom every girl likes, the simple chic, the usual korean comedy/drama. but i like this one better than MTF because it was simply more entertaining and had funnier scenes. its fight sequences/wire-fu are better. first korean movie i've seen that deals with the sensitive AIDS/HIV issue. even had a gogo yubari look-alike that's cute as a doll. i wonder why gorgeous koreans are most of the time single in their movies. are they everywhere? ;D
just started my girl. from the first episodes, same old plot again.
anyway, Park Si Yeon who played the ex-gf "korean sharapova" ;D was once Miss Seoul and Miss Korea (2000) ;)

finally watched OldBoy. im so angry at myself for knowing that Hye-jeong Kang (who played Mido, and the crazy but cute Yeo-Il in Dongmakgol) is credited as Oh Dae-su's daughter in the movie >:( still had some doubts while watching it though, especially after seeing their intimate scene. i think Mido's identity is obvious without it. well, that's what i get for waiting 4 years to watch a very popular movie...
i don't usually watch korean series... but i highly recommend...

The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince
Finally found a DVD with english subs. Currently on Episode 5. It has an Imelda Marcos reference on Episode 1. I hope they'll include it in the tagalized version.
Yoon Eun Hye still won't pass as a guy for me. But I guess most of their younger generation looks like both, just as one of the characters said. For a 24 year old guy, she's still scrawny, and too pretty for a guy ::) But hey, Lee Jun Ki (King and the Clown) looks like a girl :P
So far, best funny moments of the series, is when the lead guy is falling for him (Yoon Eun Hye), and beginning to question his sexuality ;D
My wife and I having a marathon of Korean TV series this month and had finished the following:

3. Princess Hours
4. Coffee Prince

^ kamusta naman yang My girlfriend is a gumiho?
^ Yes, maganda yung original Korean na My Sassy Girl. Also, Il Mare. Both star Jun Ji-hyun. Walang-wala yung US remakes....
^Try to find Christmas in August also. I enjoyed it.
ok sir ^-^
wifey is currently watching you who came from the stars
any other recommended korean tv series?
Recently watched A Moment to Remember. A very good drama about a girl with an early onset Alzheimer's Disease. My wife cried on this movie. Loved Son Ye-Jin. ;)

You're welcome. When my wife also has time she watches a lot of Korean movies.
Found this website by accident and noticed that it loads faster than gooddrama.net.
Bubblegum
is this love story sir?
Yup
currently watching Legend of the Blue Sea ^-^
currently watching Legend of the Blue Sea ^-^
last Korean movie I watched was The Handmaiden directed by Park Chan-wook.
ok ba? have this on my HD for ages pero tinatamad akong panoorin, looks boring :P
Try Goblin (http://asianwiki.com/Goblin_(Korean_Drama) (http://asianwiki.com/Goblin_(Korean_Drama))). The wife was watching The Legend of the Blue Sea but found Goblin to be much better. It is now at the top of her to watch list.
Wala na bang nanunuod ng KDrama dito? Daming magaganda ah.
Tinabangan na nga ako sa mga US TV series eh, parang naluluman na ako sa US. Mas modern na ang look, script and kilos ng KDrama kesa sa any US shows.
My wife is very much a late bloomer to Korean productions. She only started watching last year, but is now very much caught up with the K-Drama bug. During this quarantine period, she finished The Fiery Priest and Crash Landing on You. She is presently in the middle of Something in the Rain.
try nyo - 2 weeks
Wifey finished Goblin, Descendants of the Sun and Itaewon Class. Next up is The King: Eternal Monarch.
baka panoorin ko yung itaewon class. wala magawa eh >:D
Maganda daw yan. Yan next next ko.My gf watched it 2 weeks ago. Got interested after 2 episode but didnt like the ending.. But its just me..
Anong episode ka na Sir Anya?
^ napanuod mo na Extreme Job sa korean movie sa netflix? Ganda!
(https://i.ibb.co/0ngC9S2/kseries.jpg)
Medyo huli na ko sa balita. After watching Extreme Job, naghanap pa ko ng ibang action movies na Korean. I watched The Man from Nowhere. Grabe, ganda. Dito siguro based si John Wick kasi 2010 pa ito eh
They really make good movies, this one is more gory than John Wick, selling children's organs thru that psychotic look drug infused Doctor.
You should try to see "I SAW THE DEVIL" serial killing at its best! One of the most unique movies I viewed as a matter of fact better than the western made ones.
Yup, nakapila na sir. I'm just looking for where its available to stream. Also looking for The Good, The Bad and The Weird
Try this
The Chaser
Cold Eyes
The Yellow Sea
These are the TV series that we finished so far, and all are highly recommended -
Hotel Del Luna
Crash Landing on You
Touch Your Heart
Legend of the Blue Sea
Marriage Contract
Ongoing, just 3 episodes completed - The World of the Married
Nothing new on the movies, but we really like the movies of Jun Ji-Hyun -
My Sassy Girl
Il Mare
Windstruck
My Sassy Girl and Il Mare were so good that Hollywood adapted and made their own versions ... Il Mare was the movie The Lake House of Keanu and Sandra Bullock, I did not like the Hollywood version of My Sassy Girl - no way at par with the Korean version
