Sigaw
1.85:1 WS
Dolby 5.1
-
who released that? any others? :)
-
Sigaw is by Regal Films.
Other Pinoy DVDs that are in widescreen include:
Big Time (VideoFlick Productions)
Bikini Open (VideoFlick Productions)
Crying Ladies (Unitel)
Keka (Viva)
TXT (Regal Films)
Please note that all are non-anamorphic. All seem to be 1.85:1, except for Keka, which looks like it's 1.66:1. However, we have a thread on these forums by the film's director that states it was shot in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio. I think there may have been an error in the encoding, then.
It's possible the more recent Regal Films theatrical releases are all being done in widescreen. I'm not positive though - but TXT was widescreen, then all the trailers of Regal titles that came on the disc (Like Super Noypi & Shake Rattle & Roll 8, among others) were all in widescreen, as well. Hopefully someone who's purchased other Regal titles can add comments to this thread.

wouldnt it be more expensive for them to do a 4:3 dvd as they have to crop the picture rather than just do a widescreen dvd?
too bad the ones i wanted to get were not widescreen. sayang talaga..even if this or that movie won best cinematography in some film festival then its just done on foolscreen

Was BIG TIME released on DVD?
Yes, in the Philippines at least.
marj, I'm a moderator here. I would never list a title as having been released unless it actually was.

I was just surprised 'cause when I ordered the movie then, it was only available on VCD. Otherwise, I would have bought the DVD.

I just got the DVD of BIG TIME. So, if anybody is interested in the VCD, am giving it away.

I just watched "Moments of Love". It was in 1:85 widescreen format.
