Title: problems with audio from laptop to reciever via HDMI
Post by: akiraPrime on Aug 23, 2014 at 08:11 PM: Out of curiosity, i've tried setting up my laptop to output HD movies via HDMI to my receiver, it only outputs video, but not audio.

No problem if i connect hdmi directly to the TV.

Am I doing something wrong?

I am running on windows 8, with stock realtek HD audio driver

Yes... I am also using the same HDMI cable for my PS3

Yup tried doing this too... but still no sound

Post by: jeffry10 on Oct 14, 2014 at 06:16 AM: you probably just to have to set up the audio device in the programs you are using. like in reclock set it for your receiver and use either direct sound or wasapi.

for foobar, same thing. wasapi then select your device. the receiver model is usually displayed :).
