Searched and realized there was no thread for this show during its run, LOL

...10 years later, the cast of Will & Grace have reunited for a special "episode" that's actually an election campaign:

This is a nice surprise! Thanks for the heads up.

This is one of the funniest sitcoms for me, along with Three's Company, Cheers, That '70s Show and Seinfeld.

Hahaha, I love it when Karen always steals a scene with a "grand" entrance, complete with a designer bag with "TRUMP" on it!

NBC announced today at the Television Critics Association press tour that Will & Grace is returning for 10 episodes. Original series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will act as showrunners and executive producers, while James Burrows, who directed every episode of the show during its initial eight-year run, is on board to direct and executive produce.

I quit watching the original show around the third season, but that was a really entertaining revival premiere. Not sure if my judgment is clouded by the nostalgia factor, though.

It was funny enough but let's see if they can keep it up. The set designs were good though, like the Oval Office set.

Also, looks like the series finale was retconned into Karen's dream.

The return after 10 years marks a new era for the show especially when it comes to current politics and a new generation of viewers. I found the sharp-edged American  political jokes really unapologetically funny.

I had seen some comments from the new generation of viewers. Some millennials (God, forgive them!), sadly, didn't know how to appreciate the background laughter. Perhaps not aware that a lot of US sitcoms are actually recorded "live" in front of a real audience, and Will And Grace is no exception.

^^ My memory of the finale is fuzzy... so I assume the writers couldn't find a way to make it work if Will was still with the cop, and Grace was still married and had children after 11 years?

Even worse: They fought and were not on speaking terms until they bumped into each other when their kids were moving into college dorms or something. So this whole revival would be part of the "Not in contact at all" time frame that happened in the finale. There was no choice but to nix it.

That most recent episode, Grandpa Jack, was probably the most hilarious episode yet this season 🤣
