Title: Problem with Sony CDP CX-250 CD player
Post by: saagard on Sep 08, 2005 at 11:31 AM
I recently acquired this mega-changer. I have it connected to a Carver C-4000 Control Console which is connected to a Carver M-400a power amp. One problem I have has to do with volume. Even with the volume control at low, low, low it is quite loud. Barely turn up the volume control and the speakers are ready to blow.  Another problem is there is some distortion (I tested this through the time delay speakers which did better with volume control) playing any CD.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

IS this condition true only with the CD player?  Not with a DVD players, tuner, tape deck, phono or other sources?

Sorry. I should have included that. No, everything else that is attached works normally: DVD, VHS, phono, tuner, etc.
