Title: DVDs after Death: Your DVD Will and Testament
Post by: Jude on Mar 30, 2002 at 07:42 PM
Rico Yan's recent demise has got me thinking, maybe we should prepare more for the possibility of our untimely deaths?
What I mean to say is, who'll get our DVDs? Maybe we ought to start drawing wills detailing who gets what.

I don't think I have enough DVDs for a decent legacy, so it's not worth it for me to write one.

But how about you hundreds-and-counting collectors out there? Like say... NY152. Will you be leaving all your Buffy stuff to Acidburn/Franchie?

They're pretty morbid thoughts I know, but somebody has to think 'em.

in that case, we could change the title of this thread to "Who will be the Benefactor of your DVDs", "Passing on the DVD Collection"  ;)

Morbid thoughts really Jude. But I'll give my dvds to my brother since he was a good collector also of cds. He goes nuts and ballistic everytime one of his cd collection is not arrange properly on his cd rack. Maybe he can take care of my dvds.

And don't worry we can come back as a ghost to check if our collection is not properly maintained.

LOL!!!  ;D

nice one keating!  anyway, i've always collected DVDs for the benefit of watching them with my twin kids.  so who better than my kids would benefit from my DVD collection.  at only age 4, i'm already teaching them proper DVD handling and maintenance.  in fact, they even have their own small collection of Thomas and Friends DVDs.   ;)

Cool. Ranran your kids are lucky! Will they still catch up with it when they grow up ten years from now? I hope when we die dvds are still the format to die for, hehehe.  ;)

oo nga, malamang HD-DVDs or BLUE RAY DVDs will replace these formats but then again, our DVDs would be an antique collection.  i hope backward compatible ang technology nila.   ::)

Yeah, and its so strange to leave DVDs as part of your Will & Testament. How about your most favorite movie, you'll place it in your coffin?

LOL!  ;D

Let us say we are all very old men/women and we know we are gonna die soon, we stoped collecting dvds many years back or we are still in the hobby, so who will you pass your dvds on to?
