I'm not a film buff or reviewer but this is one good tagalog movie for me. Kinda sad din ang ending pero there's still this feel good factor.

wifey changed my name on her cellphone to Tonyo after watching it😂

My mom and nephew watched the movie, and my mom has been asking me to watch the movie ... must be really good ... iba daw sa usual na Tagalog movies

Not a typical Filipino romantic-comedy. Scores points for the chemistry of the two leads, it's picture postcard shots of Sapporo, Japan and for the nice music. Overall, I think it provides a needed fresh perspective, but I don't think it's really a "game changer" type of film for the Filipino movie scene (not that it needs to be). It's always heartening to see a cinema almost full (watched it at UPTC) for a local indie type movie.

How does everyone feel about the opinion of some people that Kita Kita is "creepy" (in the same sense that a stalker is creepy)? Like what is said in this Esquire article:
Why Don't More People See How Kita Kita Romanticizes Stalking? (http://www.esquiremag.ph/culture/arts-and-entertainment/why-aren-t-more-people-seeing-how-kita-kita-romanticizes-stalking-a1628-20170808)

I'd be more disturbed if more people read anything from Esquire's faux-film critics.
The unexpected surprise is that more people went out to see this movie (which is good for the Filipino movie industry) and, needless to say, viewers don't need film critics to make a decision whether to see and like a movie that some minority consider "creepy." The 300-million boxoffice gross (and still growing) is a testament to this success. Enough said.

Well I guess sometimes creepy and stalking is cultural and subjective. Hehe! Madami kasi tayong napapanuod na crimes scenes that started from stalking.
Ang mga pinoys kasi, sometimes they started with stalking a girl whom they liked, looking or waiting for a chance to meet the girl.

Very well said, Sir Nelson! Couldn't agree more.

oo boss Nelson sakto ika nga. ;)

Pang best actor Ang acting ni Empoy dito. His acting looks very natural. I'm happy that it grossed over 300 m.
A very unlikely tandem. I remember the "great" rene requistas when i see empoy. I like him more than any Filipino comedian in today's industry.

300+m gross reciepts and yet the film is posted on you tube, a good tactic to get the pirates out of making money on this film....
why buy from pirates when you can view for free....?
-
^ yung iba kse don't have access to free wifi. They relay on data plans. Dali makaubos ng prepaid data ang movie stream sa youtube. Buying a pirated cd is definitly cheaper for them tapos pwede pa nila i share.
-
as in legitimately uploaded sa youtube yung film?

Out of curiosity, I looked for the full movie posted on Youtube. I don't think these are legit; pirated yata. They are not clear copies & at the beginning, there is a watermark stating "Copy for Boss Vic Del Rosario Jr.".....

Thoughts (https://criticafterdark.blogspot.com/2017/08/kita-kita-i-see-you-sigrid-andrea.html) on what's currently the most popular Filipino movie in theaters right now
-
I think this: if it wasn't creepy it wouldn't be interesting.
