Just recently bought Lg Bh9540tw htib

called Lg hotline, they informed me na region 3 format lang ang i play ng player ko..

Pwede ko ba i play yong mga blu ray na galing us?

Is there a way na mapa region unlock ko ang unit?

meron bang diy nung region unlock ng player?

Post by: DVD_Freak on Jul 05, 2015 at 08:47 PM: Most likely you can play BDs from the US because the Phils is designated the same region as the US..... Region A. As for the DVD only being able to play Region 3 discs, maybe search the net. Most you will need to enter a series of buttons to have it unlocked or to change the region.

If ever i have blu ray disc from europe, i can also possibly play it by changing region lang sa settings.

Mukhang hindi informed ang csr ng lg kasi sabi nya region 3 lang daw...
Instead of region a...

Post by: DVD_Freak on Jul 06, 2015 at 12:17 AM: If I have to guess. I believe your HTIB is strictly Region A for Blu ray and Region 3 for DVDs. Technically you can't play European BDs because they are Region B. Unless theses discs are region free.

As for the CSR, tama naman siya regarding DVDs. Baka nga region 3 lang. But there are region free DVDs. For DVDs kasi, numbers ang region. For BDs, letters.

As for changing regions both for BDs and DVDs, I am unfamiliar if there is a hack to let the player change regions.

1. With the unit powered on, open the disk tray.
2. on your remote, hit Setup, 8, 5, 2, 0
3. Viola! DVD/BD region hack!

i guess so..
nag google din ako ng pang region hack pero wala..

good thing us is same region as ph..

Pero baka may nakakaalam na gumawa?

I meant for blu-ray play, i even mentioned it..

the csr seems not so familiar with blu-ray kaya parang dvd information ang nabigay nya...

So region A pala instead of region 3...

I think medyo wala na akong problem dun since local blu rays are all playable in region a players..
pati yong mga us pala mag play na din..

europe version bought in amazon.co.uk most of them are region free too.. :)
