Himala and Oro Plata Mata were digitally remastered/restored by Star Cinema last year. They should still be available in many Astrovision and Odyssey branches. .
Ganito Kami Noon Paano Kayo Ngayon will be available on DVD on most video stores on April 3. (http://s17.postimg.org/t82l3tj8v/10001551_10152364232472193_601544627_n_2.jpg)
To our resident reviewers, we're waiting for your comments. From the looks of it, it's not yet remastered. Is it worth buying?

From the looks of it, it's not yet remastered.
Have not seen the actual item yet myself, but the posted cover does say "digitally restored and re-mastered" above the title.
-
^ Thanks, now I see it. I didn't notice it before since I'm using a tablet :) Any chance you'll get this title?
-
I tried buying this today at Astrovision Robinsons Magnolia. It's not in their inventory. Was it released on time? Will try other branches.
-
Sana lumabas na ito soon. Will definitely grab a copy. Keep us posted if anyone spots where this becomes available, thanks!

Yes, I'll be getting it too as soon as I see it.
-
Looked for this title at Astro & Odyssey Megamall this afternoon. So far, it's still not available.
-
The April 3rd release date was mentioned in the post above, but the year wasn't ;D ;D ;D
-
Tried to check any reference on the release and availability of this title in DVD via Google, but I came up with nothing.
-
Not available in Astrovision V-Mall today, nor at Astrovision Greenbelt 5 last Sunday.
Baka nga April 3, 2015 pa. LOL
-
Ganito Kami Noon...Paano Kayo Ngayon?
According to Direk Joey Romero, son of the late Eddie Romero, it's going to be available daw tomorrow at Php400.
-
No, it's not.
-
April 13, wala pa rin. Checked the Astro in Megamall.
-
Was able to get a copy from Landmark today.
-
Thanks. Hirap hanapin. Went to Astro in SM Aura, SM Sta. Mesa and Robinsons Magnolia yesterday/today, and none had copies. Hindi naubusan, they never had copies to begin with.
Anyone else with sightings of other places we might be able to buy it?
-
^ My staff was able to get me two copies at ASTROVISION SM Marikina.
-
Any reviews? Are there any features, or is it a barebones release?

I just did a quick scan of the DVD. It's a dual-layer disc. Here's a screenshot of the Special Features menu:

Nice, thanks! Will have to wait until Saturday to look for it again.

Meron na pala! I went there yesterday morning, but did not see any copies on the shelves. Did not bother to ask the Astro staff. Sayang..... :-[

Poor marketing and distribution, that's what it is. At this time, maybe only a handful of people knew the popularity of this film back then and only those who knew the title debuted in DVD are looking, given the fact its release was not even mentioned in the web when I googled it a few weeks ago.
Napaghahalata ang mga nagkaka-edad dito sa atin ;D ;D ;D

ABS-CBN did carry ads promoting the release of the DVD. That's where I found out about it. But yeah, their distribution isn't that good.
-
I actually heard of the release of this DVD from a TV commercial that was playing during a primetime telenovela on ABS-CBN. Annoyingly, instead of giving a proper release date, the commercial ended with the voice over guy saying "Available Soon."
-
I think the ad also mentions "high definition" so I thought this will be the first local Blu-ray title to be released.
-
Mayroon na sa Astro Plus SM North.
-
Meron na sa Astro Robinsons Magnolia, ubos na sa Astro Greenbelt 5.

Looks like you really scoured the Metro for a copy. Congrats for finally getting one!

Random thoughts:
1. Glad to finally see a Filipino DVD that offers Tagalog subtitles instead of just English ones.
2. Very good picture quality.
3. The audio remastering seems to have taken a backseat to the video restoration; in at least two scenes, the voice of Gloria Diaz changes in pitch/tone while reciting a long stretch of dialogue.
4. Interesting documentary (so far).
5. The scrolling script pages feature (similar to the one in Oro Plata Mata) is still odd, but nice.

Got one at Astro Trinoma.
-
Is it formatted in anamorphic widescreen?
-
dun sa mga nakakuha na... any reviews with regards to sound and video quality.

Finally got a copy of this. The packaging is typical Star Cinema cardboard slipcase but it's colorful and well made. So far, I've only sampled the movie. From the look of it, it looks like another great restoration job, the picture looks pristine and look more cinematic than the unrestored version that I've seen before, although I noticed that like the previous restorations, this film has been cropped at the top and bottom. Although I am still not sure if this was the way it was shown during its theatrical run. I saw the documentary, it's ok but not as good as the one in Himala. A little too many "selfies" for my taste. Too bad there's no featured audio commentary.

Who has an extra copy or selling their own copy? It seems na out of stock na ito.

Nakabili na rin ako sa UP. Nagbebenta ang ABSCBN kapag may screening ng restored movies nila.
