Title: TVs 70-inch & larger
Post by: DViant on Nov 16, 2016 at 05:42 PM
In the US the  4K TV size with the most number of models is 65-inch.

This is followed by 55-inch and 60-inch.

Most popular size that is larger would be 75-inch.

I started this thread because of today's incredibly low starting price relative to its size.

Lowest price on olx.ph for the LG 75UH6560 (http://www.lg.com/ph/tvs/lg-75UH6560) is P102,000 but I think you can push it down further with a bit more haggling.

I am unsure if this PH-specific model is the counterpart to the LG 75UH6550 (http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-75UH6550-4k-uhd-tv) that sells for $2999.

Weirdly enough this appears to be the only non-OLED LG 4K TV with Dolby Vision.

Cheapest price I've seen for a 75-inch Full HD TV is $1,798 while the cheapest 75-inch 4K TV is $2000 both in the US.

I wonder if the LG can be bargained to P88,000-98,000.

Other than LG 75UH6560 the other local models are Sony 75X8500D and Sony 75Z9D.

I bought one early this month. Okay naman.

I was about to buy the B6 oled. Kaso nanghihinayang pa rin ako for the additional 50k. Coming from a 46" sony bravia purchased in 2009, worth it ang upgrade, so to speak.

I was also benchmarking from the US model. It seems that the 6560 is indeed the local counterpart of the US' 6550 model. An additional RF input for the 6550 sets them apart as well as the 110V input.

Though may libreng wall bracket, I decided not to install as the TV weighs 50kg per specification. Hehe

After we bought the 75" last year, nawala ang gigil ko sa mga TV,
kahit pa makakita ako ng 80" o 85", the 75" is just perfect to my system,...
And like what I always suggest to my friends, always get the biggest na kayang bilin ng budget....

Mga sir/mam,

Urgent issue lang po..

I need help po about sa tv ko. Brand: Devant LED TV, Model: 50DE500, Size: 55"
I accidentally hit the TV screen with a hard object tapos nabasag yung screen nya..

I'm also in the market for a 75-inch TV, and the 75uh6560 is the least expensive I've seen so far.

I wonder if I can do 50k cash then 50k 12-month CC installment and still avail the 100k price? Anyone know where to get such a deal?

That's about 4". Tig- 2" bawat side. And since diagonal ang measurement, that should be less than 2" additional width. Siguro 1 thumb length per side ang dagdag.

Go to Anson's head office at Pasong Tamo extension, (beside DHL just 4 bldgs after Toyota).

Make a Cash offer like 98t and tell them to bring it up to the Boss upstairs.  They will either accept or make a slight counteroffer.

Iba if you do it in person.  They will bring it up to the big Boss at Pasong Tamo.  Kung phone call lang they will not bother going upstairs.

If you want to pay more then consider the Sony

Were you able to get a 75-inch?

The 65UH6150 is down from 56k last Dec to 49k. Kaso no dramatic slump for the 75UH6560, cheapest I saw is still 100k.

Baka may alam kayong mas mura :)

Yeah, US prices whether online or places like Costco, the large displays 70 inches and up are way too low compared to the equivalent prices here in PI. You can even probably just get one in the States and have it shipped over and still save compared to local landed prices...

CinemaCon started 27th of March.

The flat panel offers deeper blacks and much brighter highlights as the direct lighting allows for precise local dimming. I am sure that it costs a fortune though.

Ouch! The LG OLED77G6V is around $20K. Definitely not practical for most mere mortals. Louie, you're right, JVC/Sony 4K HDR projectors are better options, plus you get a much bigger screen.

The jump in price from 65" to 77" is too much. :-(
