i was changing some things in my profile
and then when i tried to save changes it said I had to re-size my avatar coz it was too big
why is that? my avatar has been approved naman before ???
the exact wording says ...

Hi,
Same goes for me. I would to change my signature footer however I always cannot continue to save because of what was mentioned by Joeypogi on avatar

YaBB SE is stricter than the old YaBB. It doesn't resize images and it requires you to use files that are exactly 65 x 65 pixels in resolution. When the old board was ported over, it allowed the larger images for compatibility's sake. However, the moment you try to adjust your Profile, it will force you to conform to the 65 x 65 limit.

is it just this office pc, or is everyone here having this problem? i can view some of the avatars but some (including mine) are not loading. may square lang with the "x."
and it's inconsistent. on some days, i can see my avatar on some of the threads but the next day, wala. weird.

A lot of the free web hosting sites like Geocities (in your case) and Tripod no longer allow remote access for the files uploaded on their site. This is why you and some other members are not able to display their avatars properly. You sometimes see your own avatar because the image is already in your cache. :)

woodie. what software do you use to resize the avatars? not really that good with computers ;D

I just use the Microsoft Photoeditor.

sir firewired might be able to answer that better... but i'd wager a guess that it doesn't matter since the file should be hosted at a separate site anyway (like imageshack or photobucket).
but please keep the file size small... for dial-up users like myself. a 500+KB gif avatar is waaaaay too much. ;)

haha! what can i say... i'm a sucker for martial arts. :-\ ;D gusto ko pa nga sana isaklob yung samurai headgear dun sa head accessories options kaso sobrang laki! parang ang bigat sa ulo and sobrang hindi bagay.. ;D ;D have you tried it? try mo, it's really fun! ;)

The reason I have boxing gloves is because I'm taking up boxing lessons at Ringside in Madrigal Business Park... I've already lost 8 pounds since I started 2 & 1/2 weeks ago... ;D

i use imageshack. not exactly sure why yours doesn't show.... are you sure you have the right url? make sure to use the 'direct link to image' url from your imageshack... hope this helps... :-\

dont about the others but any jpeg or gif file will do as avatar.
i usually upload it in a hosting site (like imagecave, photobucket and the like), then just linky the file in my profile.
