Depends if it was abused. Parang kotse yan eh, kahit 20yrs pa yan kung alaga sa maintenance at low mileage tsaka sariwa body for its age eh tatagal pa sya. Same with gears.

My CDP has been my mainstay for almost 17 years. It's my oldest piece of gear and will probably be the last that I will replace. Still works flawlessly and sounds amazing for me. I had to replace the eject button once, retubed to Mullards and had the gears lubed by Rene Rivo 5 years ago..that's about it. I keep a spare laser/motor assembly in case so that it will serve me well for the next decade or so

^ Looks like the CDP rin ang di ko mapapalit palitan, for now I think its the reason why I finally found the SQ I was looking for with my setup.

Will probably sound the same with my past AVReceiver. ;D

Mas onti siguro gastos kung CDP pala kagad naacquire ko hehe.

It depends talaga minsan hit or miss rin. i still own several cdps built around 1980's denon and sony still working fine . nauna pang nasira yung 2006 cdp ko na pioneer ,2004 arcam and 1999 marantz. but like me nauna pang magsawa after a few years then upgrade na.
