Would love to hear your opinions guys,
I am currently on the market for a bigger TV,
and my main requirement is that it needs to be a 240hz refresh rate,
I think my current Samsung 55" is almost 3 years old,
and my current living area is a bit oversize for that size,
kaya napapanahon na para sa isang upgrade,
I have been looking at the Samsung UN75JU7100FXZA (http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN75JU7100FXZA) with a price of $5000,
my first choice is again a Samsung coz wala naman akong nakitang problema sa previous
unit ko, and their after market support is simply awesome here,...
the LG 79UB9800 (http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-79UB9800-led-tv), market price is at $9999, pero ibinibigay lang sa akin ng $5000 - 5500, which includes a wall mount, free mounting and delivery,
plus of course an added 4 inches on the panel,... The only thing that is holding me back is that hindi ko kabisado ang quality and support ng LG, kaya medyo hesitant pa rin ako,...
Now lumabas na rin ang isang modelo pa ng LG which is the 79UF7700 (http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-79UF7700-4k-uhd-led-tv) priced almost the same, roughly around the $5000 - 5500 range,
and its the 2015 model, but again, it is an LG,
Picture quality on both brands, well, let's just say na hindi na sila nagkakalayo talaga sa linaw and clarity, color rendition ay halos parehas na rin sila,...
So let me know guys,...
Thanks,...

Both Samsung and LG are known to have good image processing and upscaling.
I can only talk about the UB9800, as I had some experience tweaking it for a friend. In my opinion it is a nice set with a very easy to use interface and wide viewing angles. What I don't like about it is the fairly shallow black level for a higher model TV, which can be noticed if you'd be using it on a dim room (this is typical of IPS panels though).
Samsung's PSA panels have an edge over IPS in terms of contrast/black-level, but they no longer carry that huge lead that they used to have (except on higher end models). PSA on the other hand is behind IPS when it comes to viewing angles, which may be a consideration if you'd have viewers from extreme angles.
Check out the Samsung 75HU8550 as well (if you can still find it, as it was replaced by the JU7100). The price should be about the same (being a 2014 model), but it can offer best in class image quality (depending on what you get, as there is some sort of panel/electronics lottery for this model).
That being said, I don't see anything wrong with any of the three options you mentioned.

My friend here bought that model a couple of months back, it is indeed beautiful, for a 120hz panel, I did not see any lag or jitter on the image, though I just wanted to be extra cautious that is why I intend to go with a 240hz panel, if the black level would be the deciding factor, I did saw how sharp and crisp Samsung images are, I might end up with just the 75JU7100, nanghihinayang lang din po kasi ako sa 4" ng LG,...

The JU7100 should be great too for PC use (4:4:4 chroma at UHD/60Hz) and gaming (low input lag).

One thing I hate about the new TVs, is that they changed the RCA inputs at the back, kailangan pang gamitan ng adaptor ang mga component and composite video inputs, instead na diretso RCA na, ay gagamitan pa ng 3.5mm adaptor...
At first Paul's TV is giving it $5000 with free deliver, free wall mount and installation and for 18 months...
When I told Best Buy about that deal, they said they'll match it and instead of 18 months, they'll give me 36 months,...
When my friend at Paul's TV learned that, he gave me his family-friend discount which is 10% of whatever computation, so from $5000 it dropped down to $4150, not inclusive of the delivery, wall mount and installation of course, but still 18 months... So I need to do some more computations first...

Those are great deals. Yup, most TVs these days use those 3.5mm breakout cables. I had to buy one online when I lost an adapter before (not readily available sa local stores here).

Just got home from Best Buy,
Saw all brands side by side,...
LG, Samsung, Sharp and Sony,...
Well, aesthetically speaking, the LG looks really nice,
but who will watch movies looking at the base and borders right,...
When it comes to crisp and sharpness of image, DAMN,..! Samsung blows them all away,...
Not even close,... the 75JU7100 is a beauty,..! The LG and Sony lacks color brightness in my eyes,
want something really sharp that would simply WOW you when you see the image...
The 78" curve looks awesome too, forgot what model though, it is $1000 more...
I'll be back tomorrow to maybe finalize the deal,...
-
One reason why I love bringing my wife looking for a new TV, I knew she wouldn't just settle to what my money can buy, I showed her first the 78JU7500 which really caught my eye the first time I entered the store, she looked at the images being played, looked at the border and base of the TV, then asked me if I wanted this one, told her, just look at my first choice first,... Brought her to the 75JU7100, saw her reaction, it was like, this is it,..? Nothing spectacular about it, except being big,...
Then she came back to the 78, sat on the theater seats and said, this is what I want,..!
And like a good husband,.. ALWAYS LISTEN TO THE WIFE,... O0

Congrats in advance with whatever you get to pick. :)

@TS,
Since this is a smart tv, which one do you prefer? Lg's web os or samsung's tizen? Also curved or not curved. I'm kinda in the same boat as you. Choosing between samsung 48ju6600 (curved uhd smart) and lg 49ub770 (uhd smart).
-
Still on the fence,...
Both panels look really good, but somehow, the curve has a much better contrast,
there are 3 things that is still holding me back right now on the curve,
don't get me wrong, it is indeed BEAUTIFUL in all areas,
1. Glare factor, it has a bit of a semi glossy panel, though the living room is a bit dimmed,..
2. Weird look when wall mounted coz of a bit of an arc on the edges
3. It is a $1000 more
However, the flat 75JU7100 is indeed spectacular as well, but my daughter said it does look like an ordinary picture frame, nothing fancy about it,...
Dang it,...
-
@TS,
The models that I'm comparing between LG and samsung, the flat LG is much more expensive than the curved Samsung. Something is holding me back too with the curve. Flat LG looks bigger despite having around the same size as the curved Samsung.
-
Are there any real advantages of curved panels vs flat panels? Feeling ko kasi marketing gimmick lang e

It sweetens the sweet spot by offering near-uniform distance to the viewer's eyes. This takes away most of the visual geometric distortion experienced on flat displays and ensures that the entire screen is in clear focus for the viewer. The wrapped image is also better in filling the viewer's field of view.
It doesn't mean much outside of the sweet spot however, and it can actually hurt the image in some cases (depending on the viewing angle).

Yun na nga sir e. When I demoed curved panels before, I really did not like how it looks (on all angles), or siguro hindi lang ako sanay
-
Sir Stagea is correct, it enhances the sweet spot,..
it really is beautiful, for some odd reason, iba ang bigay ng color and contrast ng curve compared sa flat, you'll see this side by side, yung 7100 na flat ay nagiging saturated ang color bordering to almost color bleeding, though it is a very nice panel too don't get me wrong, but somehow the appeal of the curve is just spectacular,...
Wife said, CURVE or no upgrade at all,...
Done...
For all the tips and opinions, thank you,
esp. to Sir Stagea...
Cheers sir..
-
Napansin ko nga na better colors and contrast ang curved screens but why is that?
Congrats sir on your purchase. Ako di pa rin maka-decide. Hahaha curved screens = you dont really need one but its nice to have one.
-
Ok, thanks for the clarifications. I'll probably do a "critical" observation when I get to go appliance stores again :)
-

Congrats sir on your purchase. Ako di pa rin maka-decide. Hahaha curved screens = you dont really need one but its nice to have one.
When I first started looking around for a new TV, and suggestion kaagad sa akin ng mga kaibigan ko sa isang shop dito ay go with the CURVE, sabi ko, eh parang hype lang yan, na wala naman maibibigay, well somehow he knows what he was talking about, he said, sa lahat daw ng mga panels na naibenta nya, side by side comparison, iba ang contrast and vibrancy ng CURVE, considering nga daw na halos parehas lang ng panel yan, and even with the same series, iba pa rin daw talaga ang naibibigay ng CURVE panels, he was talking for both the Samsung and LG curves, hesitant lang ako nung una coz sabi ko baka medyo masagwang tingnan sa side lalo pag naka - wall mount, but again, who would actually look at it sa sides pag nanunuod ka na, and of course the additional $1000 is huge, pero sabi nga ng isang kaibigan ko and I quote,
"If you buy an expensive TV and it makes you happy for several years, I guess it's fine. If you buy something cheaper and it makes you wish you bought the more expensive one, that's bad. The cheaper model is okay only if you think you can enjoy it without complaining or regretting your decision later (",)."
Which really is a valid point,...
Good luck sir, and happy hunting,..

Congrats! A few more days to go. :)
-
Ako din, took the plunge kanina. Bought an lg uhd. Hopefully good purchase siya.
-
Congratulations on your purchase sir,...
It will all boil down to preference.
Sometimes reviews would just complicate your decision,
just trust your eyes, mata rin naman natin ang manunuod at hindi ang mga reviewers di ba,
the only thing I often rely when it comes to reviews are their comments when it comes to panel durability, warranty and customer support, dyan, nakikinig at naniniwala ako sa mga reviews, pero when it comes to resolution, I rely mainly on what I see, in my case, what my family sees, one advantage we have here in the US is that may 14 days return policy kami, just in case we find it too bright or whatever, we can have it returned or palitan ng ibang TV kung sakali,...
Went back to Best Buy yesterday, showed them that their prices dropped $500, after checking online,
they gave me back that discount, I was already happy with the discounts and freebies that I got during the first transaction, it made me even happier when the prices dropped and was credited back.
A friend just texted me that a 78" 4K panel dyan sa atin ay nasa halos P420K, nakupo, napakamahal pala dyan, coz I was making the conversion, the TV was just at $5500 ($6000 before the price discount), plus the 5 year warranty and taxes it went to $7350 x 45 = P332000, parang ang laki naman yata ng mark up,
yet ang hirap pang magsoli ng item, or even magpalit man lang,...
-
Sights and Sounds is selling the 78js9500 at around 365K pesos... :)

It was priced at $600, but with a lot of haggling and budging, it ended up at $199,...
Cool...

-
@abc,
Malaki talaga markup dito. Kaya nga dati tempted to bring home one from SG since it was cheaper there. Pero by the time you get it here duties and customs would put it right about the same price that they sell it here.
Although I'm not sure if this is true that OFWs are allowed to bring home one appliance duty and customs free? Saan ko ba narinig yun? Hahaha
-
Sir may included uhd pack? :)
-
Wasn't really interested in the UHD pack,... ^-^
-
K-pop yun eh! Hahaha
-
@zechs I think TV set up to 40" Lang ang free from duty and taxes any higher than that they will charge you na, di ko lang alam kung magkano

UPDATE:
The UN78JU7500 arrived early yesterday, and was wall mounted in under 2 hours,
first impression with the resolution and colors: STUNNING
but saw the problem as soon as I walk around the living area, TERRIBLE GLARE
no matter what adjustment I make on the wall mount to tilt it, swivel it, and even close the blinds around me, turn off all the lights, the GLARE is still there,...
Will be going back to Best Buy today to get the UN75JU7100 instead, the flat panel is still the best choice for a somewhat dim lit or bright lit rooms, I could honestly say that a curve, esp the current models, would look really nice in a basement or a dedicated HT where the surroundings are treated.
Cheers,..
^-^
-
^Ouch. So what's the wife have to say?
-
I saw the glare problem as soon as it was being wall mounted,
Then I tried my best to somehow resolve the issue by doing everything that I know...
Kaya lang, masyado ang glare talaga, it was really reflective,...
I was actually trying my best to live with it, kumbaga, will just settle for it...
I kept it to myself, but my daughter saw the problem too, hindi rin sya kumibo...
So the next morning ng magising si misis, considering that my wife seldom see any difference sa mga video resolution, nagulat ako ng sabihin sa akin na bakit ganun ka-glare ang TV, nakikita daw nya mga reflection sa kahit saang angle, dun ako natawa at alam ko ng hindi nga maganda ang panel talaga...
Then we had the discussion na kung ang added $$$ na ibinayad namin ay para sa bahagyang improvement ng resolution in terms of color and contrast, eh hindi naman pala makikita dahil sa glare, and hindi rin daw nya makita ang difference ng pagiging curve nya compare sa flat pag naka-wall mount na, eh hindi daw worth it...
Kaya I knew I would end up with my first choice... The good thing is binigyan ako ng 14 days to return it, without any restocking fee, ang binayaran ko lang ay ang paglabas ng Geek Squad ulit to take down the unit and install the new one...
I saw the same model side by side with the flat, somehow, mas matindi ang glare and reflection ng curve, the flat has some too, but not that much that would bother me... Iba ang tindi ng glare ng 7500,...
Will update you guys next week when they deliver the new TV, for now I still have a week or so to use this curve... :)
-
Sir abc, got mine na but havent set it up yet. Di kasya yung stand dun sa paglalagyan!

@ABCmotorparts: Tama nga yun nasa Cons section..
1. The curve exaggerates reflections
If you’ve ever stood in front of one of those trick mirrors at a fun park, you’ll know that shaped glass can do weird things to reflections. It’s the same deal with a curved TV. Anything bright in your room – especially direct light sources opposite your TV – has its reflection on a curved screen stretched and distorted across a wider area of the screen than would occur with a flat TV. So if you buy a curved TV, you’ll probably find you need to introduce some extra light control elements to your viewing room.

I did read about those, kaya lang I just have to find out for myself, and with the deal Best Buy gave me, I knew its a WIN - WIN for me, I knew na pag hindi ko nagustuhan ang curve, ay maibabalik ko ng walang restocking penalty, kaya OK lang din, as of now, I still have the curve, naayos na rin ang paperworks ng ipapalit, and would be delivered on the 30th pa, the good thing is, hindi nila aalisin ang curve hangga't hindi nila dinadala ang kapalit, kaya walang talo talaga,..
Regards,...
-
@abc,
Nice! Sana ganyan din dito sa atin. Kung hindi ka satisfied pwede mo ibalik. Tutal you paid a good amount of money for that.
-
Dito for sure hindi pwede isoli ang Curved TV because of glare. Hindi kasi factory defect.
-
Napakahalaga ng customer feedback sa kanila kasi, sa lahat ng businesses dito, basta may reklamo ka, they will try their best to address it no matter what,...
One drawback of having a BIG FREAKING panel,
-
@abc,
Ako naninibago din sa laki ng tv. Coming from 32" to 49". But as they say, bigger is better. Hahaha
Have to watch 1080p content na and not HDTV lang.

55j6200 srp is 63900php pansin ko parang mura 2015 models kesa sa comparative 2014 models..
nagaabang kasi ako talaga 2014 models this year para mura... hehe pero parang walang matitipid..
nagiging competitive nadin yata market natin di compared noon.. you can get it from us ship it to philippines and still cost less than half the price they sell here.. hehe

May discount na rin on some models.

-
Upscale ng Samsung, from 1080 to 4K, simply BEAUTIFUL,
you'll see the detail and sharpness of images and colors,...
Would not look back when you go 4K panel,..
-
Sir abc is right, given the right 1080p/blu-ray content, kitang-kita yung details. Even the strand of hair is defined. Ganun ka-clear.

Ayon sa mga nabasa ko 4k is large format kaya sa TV ultra hd lang which 4x full hd tama ba?
Samsung daw soft panel VA while LG use hard panel IPS

Ayon sa mga nabasa ko 4k is large format kaya sa TV ultra hd lang which 4x full hd tama ba?
Samsung daw soft panel VA while LG use hard panel IPS
Yes, most "4k" TVs run a UHD resolution.
UHD Samsungs run PSA panels for the most part (one of the VA derivatives). LG uses IPS at this point, unless you're looking at OLED models.
Forget panel rigidity and look more into image quality, usability, reliability and support.
-
That is one MAJOR thing that I considered sa pagpili ko, the after market support,...
Image quality, well, I must admit, Samsung's images are really BRIGHT, to the point of straining your eyes,
sadly, my family wanted that, they want something na very attention getter talaga sa linaw and liwanag,
though the image really are very crisp and clear...
After a marathon of movies on this panel, paglabas ko ng bahay ay para akong BAT na silaw na silaw sa liwanag ,... hehehehe
I did wrote an email to Samsung USA, complaining about my experience on the 78 curve, I told them everything that I noticed and observed, in which grabe talaga ang GLARE pag curve ang panel, they did responded with my complain, coz I even bothered the Office of the President, I told them bakit ba kako sukat gamitan ng GLOSSY panel ang mga 4K TV nila ngayon, unlike the older 1080P panels, (though I already know the answer na iba ang ibinibigay na linaw ng mga GLOSSY finish sa mga images) Samsung asked for an apology etc etc, and they told me that they forwarded my letter to South Korea, on my letter ang sinabi ko, seems your CURVE panels aren't designed well for the common room of an american home, coz the slightest light inside the room would somehow reflect back on the panel and somehow bounces oddly on it, mukha kakong pabibilin pa ako ng bagong bahay ng TV na ito para lang maaccommodate ko sya,...
I paid extra for an extended warranty on my UN75JU7100, I took the 5 years extended warranty on it, the first year would be under Samsung and the next 4 years would be on Best Buy, the good thing on both them is that nasubukan ko na ang after market support nila, I remember my 55" LED na pag inaupdate ang firmware ay nagiging saturated ang color and images, and dahil walang revert back feature, Samsung ended up sending me motherboards para maibalik sa factory setting, I did it for 3-4 times, and for 3-4 times, Best Buy would come out to replace that board, no charge, kaya hindi ako lumipat ng brand and shop,...

Well according sa agent. Samsung use soft panels because they give brighter images with low power consumption vs LG hard panels that needs powerful back lights to compensate
Im eyeing on this model
60UF670T = P69,499 any comments?

so you returned the 78 curve for the 75? or you have both?

I sent it back bro, napansin ko na agad ang problema upon installation sa wall, I saw na matindi ang glare talaga, then my daughter arrived from school and knowing her (mana sa akin ang mata) bumulong sa akin na bakit daw ganun ang panel,... Natawa ako at sabi ko na hintayin muna namin ang comment ni misis, knowing my wife, hindi nya mapapnsin ang kung ano man sa TV kasi, with that in mind, I was actually willing to live with the glare, then the next morning, my wife woke up quite early, sinabayan ko na at nag-gayak na ako ng coffee then turned on the TV, VOILA,..! Bakit daw ganun ang itsura ng TV sabi ni misis, kahit saan daw sya lumugar ay may reflection syang nakikita, natawa ako at sinabi ko sa kanya na sya lang hinihintay ko talaga na magbigay ng comment, then I explained her na sablay talaga ang design ng panel lalo kung may windows and lights sa living area. My was is not that techie, ni hindi nya napapansin ang kung anong pagbabago sa mga system ko, yet she noticed this one, meaning, it is that bad,...
Send me your email bro, I'll send you some pictures para makita mo kung ano ang sinasabi kong glare, and no matter where you position yourself, you'll see na may problem talaga ang mga bagong glossy panel, well, sa curve... Coz sa flat na ipinalit ko, ay wala kaming reklamo, the flat is really stunning and really beautiful,...
Regards,...
-
Hehe :D
-
The glare wasn't worth it for a $1000 more, kaya mas pinili ko ang flat, may wow factor ang curve panel simply because, well its a curve, but with all the disadvantages na nakita ko, it just doesn't justify the $1000 na idadagdag ko sa kanya, I'd go with the curve if semi-gloss ang panel nya, nakakairitang nakikita kasi ang bright reflection na nakakalat sa panel... But again, its about preference... ^-^

We are very happy with the UN75JU7100,
-
Please recommend 55 to 60inch Led tv
4k or 1080p
Samsung or Lg
Must be smart tv

Ano mas ok sa 2
Lg 55lf6300 1080p
Samsung 55ju6600 4k
Like anybody elses delimma..
Will only be watching bluray 1080p...
Ok ba talaga ang upscale ng samsung?
A friend of mine have lg 65uf850t, medyo panget ang upscale or siguro masyadong malaki ang 65unch

Have you tried tweaking the image settings of the uf850t? After some tweaks, I am okay with its scaling. The default image settings don't suit me too much. The only real issues I have with this model would be panel contrast ratio (because it's IPS) and some motion interpolation issues (when there is a lot of action).
-
At first...
My friend was really disappointed..
Yong hd channel ng skycable nagmukhang sd...
Then he told me he do couple of tweaks like tru motion.
OptimiZed the expert 1, changed to warm2 etc.
My currrent tv Lg2013 model 47la7400 and very satisfied.
Malayo ang picture quality when watching 1080p sa 65uf850t at stock settings
-
At first...
My friend was really disappointed..
Yong hd channel ng skycable nagmukhang sd...
What do you mean by looking SD? Soft edges and lack of detail?
-
Sd - standard definition.
Its a skycable term....

I know what it means. But looking SD means losing the sharp image and details afforded by the higher resolution of HD material.
1080i and 1080p are of the same pixel count (spatial resolution), interlaced scan lang yung 1080i. You should only be able to tell them apart if there is motion on the image. Most TVs deinterlace the content before displaying it, and some processors do this better than others.
-
sorry, missed the point...
sd as in cloudy ang 1080i na lumabas sa upscale..
maybe because hindi sya talaga na upscale, (as in nadagdagan ang pixel count)
since 1080i noth much to be upscaled
parang nahila lang in a very high resolution kaya naging parang standard definition na lang..
medyo sanay kasi ako sa LG,maybe its time to change brand...

He can start with isf Expert 1 and play with the image settings. What is essential however is to enable LED Local Dimming to compensate for the unimpressive panel contrast.
Also make sure that he has a recent firmware version, as the earlier ones caused image quality issues.
-
Will do , thanks sir
@all
Any comment about these 2 models?
55ju6600 curved uhd
55ju6400 flat uhd (cheaper)
Ano mas ok...
-
magkano mga yan? yan din iniisip ko ngayon if not 75ju6400..
-
55ju6600 uhd curved - 66800php
55ju6400 uhd flat - 59300php
60ju6400 is around 88k
so 65uj6400 will be 100k plus
prevoius post must be 55 not 66
sorry typo
-
-
anong model yong 65inch ng LG ang 88k?
-
My mom ask me to buy her a new tv ang budget is 90k.
Yesterday went to Anson's Ortigas and shop for a TV. Was looking for a big basic TV kasi news lang usually pinanonood ni ermats. They recommend the LG basic 65UF670 they gave it for 88,+++ plus rechargeble lamp. Then I saw the Sharp 70 LE650 they offered it for 84,+++. Was really thinking na one after the other ang gagawin nila pero head to head comparison ang ginawa nila. Things I noticed with LG: responsive ang remote at mas mabilis maghanap ng channel. With picture quality and looks, I prefer si LG so I bought the LG and will be delivered sa Wednesday.
They are also offering a display unit 65UF930 for less than 90k, lamp hours nya as of yesterday is 1170.

Hi, I just got an LG 55uf850t and I can't find the Trumotion option. All it's got under the 'Picture Options' submenu are:
•Noise Reduction
•MPEG Noise Reduction
•Black Level
•Real Cinema
•Motion Eye Care
Firmware version is 3.3.6 (and up-to-date, when I tried to see if there's a newer version). Anyone else having this problem? What do you think does that mean--Trumotion is off by default, or on?
-
^^Wala ba siya sa manual sir?
-
It's in the manual, but as you know the manual is for multiple models. There's a statement 'options may vary depending on the model', I hope it hasn't been disabled for this model /country. Btw, I'm using ISF mode.

Can't find it now but it was posted here before How do we check nga Running HRS ng LG Smart TV. Also sa Samsung pano ba procedure ng pagcheck?

Hi..downside ang active 3d? Would appreciate an explanation coz am looking also to upgrade to a 55in with 3d preferred... been going over the net about active vs passive and i got the impression active is superior..
-
Conclusion
Even though they have half the vertical resolution, most people still prefer passive 3D TVs over active 3D TVs. Passive 3D TVs have less flickering and generally less crosstalk, creating a better overall 3D experience. The glasses are also cheaper and more comfortable.

You may be right sir, I haven't found the trumotion option at all, no matter what picture mode. Either that or it's been removed in the latest firmware for 55uf850t. Probably there for 65uf850t or larger, which are 200hz.

65ub850t have it..
wala lang syang picture wizard..

Yeah, sa models bigger than 65" nga nakaindicate na 200hz. Mukhang yun ang indicator kung may trumotion or wala.

Sirs:
Which store is that LG 65UF850T found?
Also, anybody know difference between LG UF850T and UF950T?
Thanks
-
Bongchilog recommended me to one. I got the 65uf860t the color prime version. I chose this one because from what I read it is capable with hdr just like the uf950t. Mas mahal nga lang compared to the uf850t. Exterior looks exactly like the uf850t rose gold (or bronze) lang yung outside frame and stand. picture quality looks like the 950t colorprime.
I was torn between this and the samsung ju7000. Medyo nabagalan lang ako sa OS ng samsung and although mas better ang blacks ng samsung mas ok naman 3d performance ng lg by a mile. Other than that almost same lang sila. Eh mahilig ako sa 3d kaya lg pinili ko tsaka mas futureproof ng konti because of hdr capabilities. Im very much satisfied with my purchase kahit na urong sulong talaga ako between the two hahaha.
uf850t, uf860t and uf950t owners hope we can share some calibration settings.

onga e.. prices have improved alot.. naalala ko noon 32" dito 100k+... so... sulit ipadala.. tapos naging big screens lang... 55" ang sulit.... (then they were considered big)
now... 55" 20k ipadala.. di na sulit e... so... kailangan siguro 65 and above...
problema.. i always target low end na big screen.. and parang di sulit ipadala.. kasi couriers charge by inch :( hehe

Where did you purchase the 65UF860T and if you don't mind how much was it? Was comparing the UF850T, UG8700, and UF950T when I saw your post.

A tallboy speaker accidentally fell to my LG led tv
Disaster talaga..
Kala ko nabasag panel ko, nagasgas kasi, so immediately i turn on the tv..
conclusion:
in terms of panel durability.
mukhang panalo ang LG compare to samsung panel.
I also checked youtube for the comparison

Iba iba ang ginagamit na layers on top of the panel, however. Pwedeng tempered glass or hard plastic na may coating.

uf850t, uf860t and uf950t owners hope we can share some calibration settings.
Hi Sir, where you able to audition both 860t and 950t side by side? Wala kasi akong makitang 860t naka display. But if same lang PQ nali, I'll choose the 860t one, medyo pricey kasi 950t.

Iba iba ang ginagamit na layers on top of the panel, however. Pwedeng tempered glass or hard plastic na may coating.
Ok sir thanks sa info

65uf860t is now already 96k @abenson
https://www.abenson.com.ph/products/65uf860t
860t has all the feature of 850t
and additional feature with HDR color prime same as 950t
it is LG's version of Dolby Vision

Is it true na eto yung counterpart SUHD panel ng Samsung? Ultrailluminance/HDR

Is it true na eto yung counterpart SUHD panel ng Samsung? Ultrailluminance/HDR
Yes it is...
Samsung - SUHD Peak Illuminator Ultimate
LG - Ultra Luminance / HDR color prime (newer HDR)
Vizio - Dolby Vision
Sony - X-Tended Dynamic Range
Panasonic - HDR

additional info why HDR is more future proof with the incoming ultra HD Blu ray

The catch is, the benefits to owners of older (even as recent as some of last year’s models) 4K UHD TVs will be limited to UHD resolution and that noise-free picture we talked about earlier. In order to get the HDR and WCG features we mentioned earlier, the TV has to be capable of producing the added colors and processing and producing High Dynamic Range content. With the exception of some Sony and Panasonic models from 2014, only the newest premium 2015 TVs are capable of this.

Am limited to 49" size lang, lowest size kse ng UF860t is 55".. To my eyes..halos same na sya sa color rendition ng top of the line 900 series.

We still can't tell .
There is no standard of the future hdr yet.
But in lg led . 860t and 950t has the hdr advantage

Hi. Been following this thread and am now limited my top 2 choice to either the LG 55UF950T or the LG 55EC9300. While the UF950 is 4k and as you mentioned more likely future proof because of the HDR compatibility, the EC9300 is OLED but "only" 1080p. The PQ however is ahead of the 4k. I compared both of them in a SM Appliance store. The price difference used to be 60k in favor of the OLED but heard recently of LG's upcoming Pre Xmas sale and rumor has it that price diff will go down to roughly 25k. Any thoughts on these 2 especially on the 950T? All your comments appreciated.

when do you think prexmas sale will happen? im planning to buy uf860T

Given the choice b/w the LG55UF950T and the LG 55UF860T with a price diff of only Php6k, would you go for the 950T? Am just wondering why the deep price cut for this model. Being phased out? Something wrong with it?

108k for the LG 55UF950T from an online retailer I've dealt with before. But got an unconfirmed report of a 20k discount further w/c I'll be able to confirm tom. From another lowest quote for the LG 55EC930T, I got was 113k but only 1 set 3D glasses. Where can I buy extra 3D glasses?

abenson sells 55UF950T 80k. You can also try anson binondo. When I asked for 65uf950, cash price is 115k. Maybe their 55" is cheaper.
I decided to get 65uf860T instead from abensons for 96k
3d glasses are 1k a pair I think from appliance shops. Maybe cheaper online
-
Lg glasses are cheap. 400/500 i think from when i bought some in 2013. :) passive lang kasi.
-
The sudden price discounts on the LG 55UF950 is now making the decision harder. What was once a 5k difference is now 23k from the LG 55EC930T. 80k vs. 113k. What do you guys think?

I was able to get a box of 4 passive LG 3D glasses for only P950.00 from an on line seller.
-
Wrong math. Difference is now 49k. Heard LG launching new 4k Oled by November. I guess they're making space. Decided to get the OLED instead of the 4K or the 4K OLED if the price is not so unattainable

Got LG 55UF860T for 65k. Bad? Or good? My first choice samsung 55JS8000 @ 71k. Kaso wala kasama 3d glass eh tsaka wala na stock puro display lang... sana maganda lg 1st time to try.. dati puro samsung lang
-
-
Wala na din kasi stock yun eh.. 860t na lang meron.. tsaka yung mga sellers sa olx dont accept CC payment.. cash basis sila pati sa SnS eh.. yung CC ko kasi may promo pay straight at the shop then convert to 3mos zero interest..

Ok yan LG sir. Two tvs ko LG. I bought one in 2k12 and another in 2k13. Both are working well. Pwede mo din ipa-wall mount through their red carpet service.
-
How's the LG55UF860T? My brother is convinced to go 4K instead of OLED and the 4K OLED still has a price to go before it becomes justifiable. Personally after using the FHD OLED, I'd still recommend the LG55EG910T. What's the going price for the LG55UF860T?
-
Got mine for 67k. If OLED was not way more expensive, I'd go for OLED.
-
That's also the last price when I checked and compared to the OLED and since the price diff was only 17k I went for the OLED. I got the LG55EG910T for 84k
-
Only one i found that was still full hd was being bundled with a soundbar so it was priced 100k+. I actually had a hard time looking for the 860t model. Might be due to the holiday season.

You cant find 860t in sm appliance
Try abenson
-

Any new people get the 55UF680T?
Considering getting this as opposed to the Samsung 55J6200.
It's cheaper and in 4K.
Thoughts?

Tried purchasing the 65 in version at abenson online but since they have a limit of P50k only for COD I called them first before proceeding with the cc purchase. Turned out no stock na talaga even called LG and they also don't have stock. I don't know about the 55in model though.

hey guys. need your opinion on something. :) I have a Samsung 50J5500. Nothing really fancy. Smart TV and Full HD. I'm considering replacing it with a LG 50UF830T or a LG 55UF680T.
LG 50UF830T 36,500
-SUPER UHD
-Smart TV
LG 55UF680T 40,000
-UHD
-Smart TV
Should I keep my Samsung, or replace it with one of these two?

I have the same model in the spare room. @69k last August.
The issue with this is it cannot play 4k Video files straight from HD or USB stick.
It lacks the HEVC.265 decoder. I wonder why LG did not include it, when they have it in the lower models?
You will need an external 4K media player, worth about 3.5t, to play UHD video files.
But picture quality is pretty good for BluRay discs and Full HD videos. It upscales 1080p to 4K resolution well. Zone dimming for darker blacks too. True 4K IPS panel
Please reserve pending audition and disposal in a few months. :D

I have the 40-inch version. It can do 4K at 60Hz and full chroma subsampling 4:4:4

I just bought an LG 55UF860T. Is this HDR Compatible?

Ask lang po ng inputs nyo as to which would be a better buy. Choosing between these two 43in TVs - LG 43UH6500 @25k and Samsung UA-43K5100 @21k, is the additional 4k worth it for the the ultra-HD feature?
Thanks.
