Post by: disturbed on Mar 10, 2009 at 01:45 PM: First of all I would like to thank all those who continue to help regarding the set up of our pinilit na HT listening area..

I really appreciate all the help guys...angels kayo sa mga katulad namin :)

Almost 6 months have passed when I start searching for the gears that will give us that great viewing experience..50% of that time went to R&R (Research and Read + understand na din hehe), reviews, forums, comparison of specifications.. 35% went to auditioning the gears..10% on choosing what to buy..and the remaining 5%....shopping galore!!! :D

Thank you sa SARSPIRATION PDVD..and I hope kung tamaan man ako ulit eh..accessories na lang ;D

This is your first HT set-up? Hindi halatang first set-up pa lang a ... parang naka tatlong upgrade na ang porma ... :o Yan ang resulta pag nagre-research muna nang husto bago mag-umpisa ;)

@sir barrister - medyo sineryoso ko lang ng konti yung ngayon kasi dati wala talaga funds and kulang kulang ang mga pieces para sa HT kaya hindi ko maayos sa gusto ko.. I'll try to re set up the stereo equipment adjacent the HT..cge sir I'll take a pic and description of that machong sofa..para ma post sa HT furniture.

hay till now pinagmamasdan ko pa din..big smile to my face pa din..makapg print nga ng pic haha

anyways any good reviews on your aurum speakers? na break-in na ba? and how is it with audio ;D

sir John e..medyo madalas more on HT ang usage nya..but I play it with audio from time to time..well mas gusto ko yung AC ngaun kesa dun sa old set up na JBL speakers..I love the AC's warm and relaxing sound..kahit rock songs its still pleases my ears 8)

para sa akin sir frootloops warm sounding sya compared to polk, infinity and other brands..maybe me factor din ang pag ka silk dome type ng tweeter..anyway great for music and HT..

sana some time makabili ako na good source for audio..

eto na naman ako maghihingi ng payo sa inyo..

as you can see the HT is not in a dedicated room..nasa isang L shaped area sya in which nasa angle ng L ung HT..its between the sala and kitchen..

I am not sure if simple acoustic treatments will have an effect on it but I would really love to do it kahit minor effects lang..

based on the pics posted is there any position I can start putting some acoustic panels?

I would also like to put an acoustic panel (darker color) around the display (like a border) para mas lutang yung display pag nanonood..beige kasi wall eh..mas ok ba pag ganun?

Post by: disturbed on Apr 04, 2013 at 06:19 PM: I want to update this old thread of mine..my PV80 died last Apr 14 2012..and cleaned up the HT setup after 2 mos and stored away..bought a new Display just last Wed hehe..thanks to the long weekend, I was able to set up the HT again..same components except for the display

Since I upgraded to a 3D and Full HD display, I want to buy a blu ray player..been looking for one that has dual hdmi out since the receiver is not capable to pass thru 3D

will post pictures when I go home to pampanga this weekend. :D

anyway here is my simple setup sa apt..madalang na lang ako makauwi sa pamp so I decided to build a simple setup..this was not my first plan..my plan is to go for my final headphone setup..but decided to go speaker route..the listening room was a challenge, which is why I am contemplating going back to my original plan..but before that picture muna lol

@sientobente - emotiva din un sir, stealth dc-1 (dac/preamp), when I sold the xda-2, naisip ko buy ulit dac-pre, pero gusto ko same foot print lng ng mini-x kaya ayun lol

Hi Superman, here is a quick review I did on the Olive One thread > http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,174752.60.html

regarding on the SQ, I haven't had any critical listening yet, but nothing jumped or I haven't notice anything that is worth mentioning right of the bat, using the Olive as transport (with external DAC/pre) and using it as a source (line out to amp)..I say the DAC inside the Olive One is pretty darn good..I know the limitations of my setup so I will try to conduct two listening tests..with the Dentons and with my incoming Hifiman HE-560..

rebuilt my grado sr80i from 2008 didn't use it for almost 2 years because I disassembled it lol..(changed the headband, the cups, the liberators, the pads and got some cardas cable too but did not use it.so I soldered back the stock)

wala na nga..meron ako sir headphone wood stand..nakuha ko ke don dati.

looking for amp ngayon eh..need na palitan amp (PIO A717) ng dad ko sa pampanga..pina repair ko na un sa pio service center noon..ok naman sana..kung meron lng makuhaan front module nun..

try ko hanap magaling mag restore baka maibalik pa sigla
