Hi guys!
I just love watching martial arts movies and I like to know what yours are so I can also look them up in case I haven't watched them yet. ;D
My favorites so far:
Bloodsport - Van Damme
Fearless - Jet Li
An Empress & The Warriors - Donnie Yuen
Revenge of the Ninja - Sho Kosugi
Black Eagle - Sho Kosugi & Van Damme
-
Thinking this would be a broad question, maybe your asking of a suggestion instead of favorites.
Anyways my favorite would be " Enter the Dragon 1973 "
Suggestions for martial arts films :
All Bruce Lee films are recommended
Ip Man 1 & 2 2010
The Legend is Born Ip Man 2010

Seriously, I don't have any favorites but among the martial arts flicks I've seen recently, "Five Deadly Venoms" was rather memorable. (with English dubbing of course, wouldn't watch Kung-Fu any other way)

^ I have also seen the Vietnamese movie Clash (Bay Rong) & I also like the fight scenes. Also check out The Rebel, from the same star (Johnny Nguyen).
Another alternative martial arts movie is the Indonesian Merantau, which features very good hand-to-hand fighting.

When I was a kid, am a huge Delon Tam fan & saw his films with Meng Fei like The Prodigal Boxer & The Boxer's Adventure. I also liked his pupil - John Liu's movies like The Invincible Armour & The Dragon, The Hero.
These films were usually shown at the old Cinerama, Podmon & Avenue theaters in Avenida Rizal in the late 70's.

para sa kin..isa lang ang the best! Drunken Master 2 by Jackie Chan..no special effects..action choreography by himself..and stunts without a double which definitely no martial arts movie star can do!

Some of my favorites which don't seem to be that well-known:
1. 13 Assassins - Japanese. A wild and very artistic samurai movie with an incredible fight scene that goes on and on. Beautiful plot.
2. The Man from Nowhere - Korean. Probably the best knife fight ever filmed. Very touching plot.
3. War of the Arrows - Korean. Best bow and arrow fight scenes.
4. The Good, the Bad and the Weird - Korean. A parody of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Another masterpiece in cinematography, wild fight scenes, a lot of comedy.
5. The Raid: Redemption - Indonesian. Very exciting fight scenes that go on and on and on.
-
Recently, I never get tired of watching Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle acted by Stephen Chow. The moves are really hilarious and fun to watch.
-
these two movies i've liked and enjoyed much watching...
Fist of Legend - Jet Li
Ip Man (1,2,3) - Doni Yen
-
I would suggest fans of the genre to watch The Grandmaster. It was definitely a lot better than I expected from a martial arts point of view.

Aye for the 13 Assassins.
Just saw the..."13 Assassins" on cable (Screen Red)- Definitely IMO, one of the most action packed "martial arts" film I've seen.
