“Lucifer” stars Tom Ellis (Rush) in the title role as Lucifer, who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals. Co-starring alongside Ellis are Lauren German (“Chicago Fire”) as Chloe Dancer, an LAPD homicide detective who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer; Lesley-Ann Brandt (“Spartacus”) as Lucifer’s best friend Maze, a fierce demon who takes the form of a human woman; Nicholas Gonzalez (“Sleepy Hollow”) as Dan, an LAPD homicide detective wary of Lucifer; D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, an angel sent to L.A. to persuade Lucifer to return to hell; and Rachael Harris as Linda, Lucifer’s therapist.
The character was first introduced to Vertigo Comics in Neil Gaiman’s “The Sandman,” where he abandoned his role as the lord of hell in the beloved “Season of Mists” storyline. His self-titled series, written by Mike Carey, ran for 75 issues.
“Lucifer” comes from Warner Bros. TV, DC Comics and Jerry Bruckheimer Television, and was written by “Californication” creator Tom Kapinos and directed by Len Wiseman. Kapinos and Wiseman will executive produce with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ildy Modrovich.

It's been ages since I finished reading the Lucifer comics, but I don't remember it to be a buddy cop comedy. Hehehe.....I foresee this to be cancelled after one season.... >:D
-
they can never let sleeping dogs lie and let well enough alone :(
-
Haaaay i hope this gives justice to the comic book character, Lucifer is scary in the books and he doesnt help anybody unless He benefits from it.
-
just seen the trailer, like what one of the comments said, they just took the name and butchered it hehehe. As long as i dont see any DC or Vertigo logos attached to it, its fine with me. Maybe.
-
Not bad for a pilot, I'll give this a try
-
I dig the humor. It's like Sleepy Hollow rather than Constantine.
-
interesting show. good casting on lucifer. don't know how long his antics/super powers will last before it becomes stale though.
-
I kinda liked the pilot episode. Hope they can sustain this one.
-
I like how they aren't putting much emphasis on the supernatural side of the plot. I also like the humor.
-
was a good pilot a little off from the comic but the humor was really good
-
nasa latest episode ng "the strain" si lucifer

Pilot episode has officially aired on January 25, 2016.

I was able to watch this yesterday 1pm at Jack TV. pretty good! :D
-
Is the Lucifer comic book a continuation from the Lucifer of Sandman or did it have a different storyline?
-
^ It's a separate series, but same character as introduced in Sandman.
-
Ok. Though I like the character, I didn't buy the series because my mother might see it and think that I'm a satanist.
-
Getting too formulaic, mukhang one and done after this season, too cloying characterizations
-
Liking this one already. Getting interesting.
-
Lucifer's becoming mortal!
-
The lady cop is also mysterious. Could she be Royal?
-
the pilot was good. the lead is now becoming annoying. also, instead of coming across as this suave and irresistible playboy, he's looking more gay as the show progresses.
-
Really liking Lucifer. Masama ba yun? Kailangan ko bang ikumpisal to lalo na't holy week na :-)?
ep 8 out now.
-
Lucifer's losing his charm too. his therapist won't sleep with him anymore.
-
I'm at Ep 2 and losing interest already. Does it get better after that?
-
I'm at Ep 2 and losing interest already. Does it get better after that?
Yes, it gets better.
-
I'm at Ep 2 and losing interest already. Does it get better after that?
same here, i think its getting stale. I find the lead actor actually corny and too trying.
I got episodes 1-6 but i cant get past the 2nd episode.
-
^yeah, and I kinda get what kiwimig is saying too, instead of getting cool and suave across, I'm picking up metrosexuality and being closeted as well. They haven't banked on having a cool of a lead character yet and I think thats what they were supposed to do.
-
If you are into tv series, Lucifer is one of those series that you can enjoy as it is funny and somewhat creepy at times. It shows both the cruel side and the tricky side of Lucifer which is what this tv series fun to watch. ;D

Production Begins on Lucifer Season Four
Netflix has revealed that Lucifer season four is officially in production. To recap, Fox cancelled the show less than four months ago leaving fans to mourn the loss of a beloved TV icon. Luckily, Netflix took their tears to heart and picked up the series for their streaming service. And while season four will feature a meager 10 episodes — a huge falloff from season three’s 24 — at this stage anything is good news.
Production on Lucifer is slated to last until December for an expected 2019 release.

Netflix Renews Lucifer for Fifth and Final Season
Netflix has officially renewed Lucifer for a fifth season, which will also be the supernatural drama series' last.
Based on the DC/Vertigo character of the same name created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg, Lucifer first premiered on Fox in early 2016. The network cancelled the series after three seasons, but it was then picked up by Netflix, with Season 4 premiering on the streaming giant in its entirety early last month. The newly-announced fifth season will conclude this journey.
"We're thrilled that Lucifer fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can't wait to give them the big finish they've all been waiting for," Netflix said in a statement.
"We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms, " said executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson. "Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!"

Fan Petition Won’t Save Lucifer for A Sixth Season Says Showrunner
Following Lucifer‘s renewal for a final season, many fans have expressed their disappointment with the series adaptation coming to an end. That’s why they’ve started a petition to save the show for an eventual sixth season.
However, despite of the fans’ outcry, co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich took to Twitter to address the issue, revealing that the #SaveLucifer campaign won’t have an effect on Netflix and the studio’s final decision of the show’s future and that the upcoming fifth season will still be its final season.
“We know there’s been a lot of confusion over the recent announcement that this is our last season. Many are wondering if they should fight for more?? And while we feel just as sad as many of you do that this marvelous ride is coming to an end, a fight won’t change things right now. But we spoke to our partners at Netflix and WarnerBros, and you should all know TREMENDOUS care and consideration was put into making this decision. In fact, the whole reason they decided to announce that it was our fifth and final season simultaneously is because they know how devoted and passionate our fans (and we!) are and wanted to give y’all (and us!) as much time as they could to accept and process the news. And for that we’re incredibly grateful. But mostly, we’re all beyond grateful that they gave us this new life in the first place. AND a chance to give this story the ending it deerves. And, of course… none of that would have EVER happened if it weren’t for YOU.”
-
Lucifer’s Final Season on Netflix has been extended from 10 to 16 Episodes.
-
According to EW, Golden Globe nominee Dennis Haysbert (24, Major League) has been tapped to portray the recurring role of God in Netflix‘s forthcoming fifth and final season of the supernatural series Lucifer.

Lucifer: Netflix & Warner Bros. TV in Negotiations for Season 6 Renewal
Last year, Lucifer fans were very disappointed when Netflix announced renewing the supernatural series for a fifth and final season. Because of this, those fans started a petition to save the show for another season. Soon after that, their hopes and efforts were further crushed when co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich revealed that the fan petition won’t really save the show from its final fate.
However, in a surprising turn of events, there might still be hope left for the fan-favorite series after less than year since its fifth season renewal. As it turns out the streaming service is not quite yet ready to let go of Tom Ellis’ charming Lucifer Morningstar with TVLine bringing word that Netflix is currently in talks with Warner Bros. TV to extend Lucifer for a sixth season.

Season 4 Blu-ray will be released on May 12, 2020.

Netflix-Warner Bros. Negotiations for Lucifer Season 6 Are Looking Good
Well, it seems that the upcoming fifth season of Lucifer won’t be the last one, after all. Netflix originally planned to close out the show’s five-year run with a 16-episode final season, but the streaming service has changed its mind somewhere along the way. According to a report by TV Line, Netflix and Warner Bros. Television and Netflix are still in talks and “both sides appear optimistic that a renewal deal will come to fruition.”
Should Warner Bros. Television and Netflix find a deal, Lucifer Season 6 will feature “between 10 and 13 episodes.” There will be more than enough time to give the right enclosure to the adventures of Lucifer Morningstar.
