I will try Prince of Egypt. This disc has been in my collection for months and have not watched it yet. :-[ Bently, with your options, your collection must total more than 500 discs.
Actually my collection has grown a lot more than 500 disk.....
it's already an addiction....
all the symptoms points to my addiction...
ex. 1. i know my credit card # by heart
2. i look forward for tues. (new releases)
3. i know the first name of the the mailman, the ups guy, and the fedex guy.
the only lighter side is that this is cheaper than drugs...
I'm tempted too to start with the Sopranos box but I thinking of selling it since it's unopened and I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it. I haven't seen a single episode so I don't know. ???
Okay, for those of you who like Bently has about 500+ discs in their collection, how do you afford it? logistics is my main enemy with this hobby of ours. Right now I have only about 50 discs, all region 1s. What I do is I record to vhs. So guys, how do you do it?
thanks escape for bringing back this thread to life :)
i haven't gotten any new dvd's for my holy week viewing,
but i'm interested in getting this 2 dvd's that i haven't seen yet.

Joan of Arc.[/b] Specifically, the Hallmark 2-part series starring Leelee Sobieski and Neil Patrick Harris.[/list]
ano ang difference ng istorya niyang Hallmark Version? (si Leelee Sobieski ba yung kamukha ni Helen Hunt?)
just a funny story to add to this thread...the other day a freind called me up and asked if i had any religious dvds that he can borrow...like jesus christ superstar or the robe?
i was surprised dahil hindi naman siya religious, like he goes to church pag x'mas at easter sunday lang!
so i asked why he wanted to borrow some religious dvd's? dahil ba holy week ngayon?
kasi daw..puros X at XXX ang gumagana sa dvd player niya, and if he played religious dvd's
eh di...mababawasan daw ng kasalanan yung dvd player niya , he said he just want to play the dvd on the player so it can wash out all the sinfull pictures...it doesn't mater if he watches it or not...just as long as it plays on his dvd player ???
so i told him just go and rent a dvd and i would gladly pay for it..dahil baka ano pa ang dumikit sa mga dvd ko.::)
bently
roots!

Ultraviolet. Mini-series that feels like the X-Files except for the vampire-slaying angle. Been waiting for this one for some time.
This Life. TV drama about Brit lawyers. Strong, controversial stuff.
Spartacus CC, Princess Diaries and The Fast and the Furious. Not necessarily in that order. ;D
Caligula ... ;D ;D ;D
;D ;D ;D
Haba ng bakasyon for us! Starts on wednesday.
Good idea bently! Will probably get em' for my boys also...
Thanks for the tip, bently! :)
1. Ten Commandments (SCE)
2. The Greatest Story Ever Told
3. King of Kings
just finished PASSION OF THE CHRIST and DA VINCI CODE...........So which side won? ;)
Walang DVDs for me this Holy Week. Just Megadeth's Countdown to Extinction and Skid Row's Slave to the Grind CDs just to annoy my neighbors.
The Passion of the Christ on Good Friday :)
Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Shaun of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, King Kong (1933 and Peter Jackson versions) to remind me that zombies and monkeys are people, too.
Same here for the holy week.
probably The Ten Commandments on VHS (wala kasi akong DVD nito :D), Jesus of Nazareth, then The Passion of the Christ on Good Friday. :)
Replay mode for me.
Others might call these films "mushy" but they are among my all-time faves:
1) The Shawshank Redemption
2) The Green Mile
3) Scent Of A Woman
4) Legends Of The Fall
5) Field Of Dreams
Jesus of Nazareth
Jesus of Nazareth
Same here..
my 'walang kupas faith restorer and unrivaled tearjerker', passion of the christ. :)
definitely passion of the christ...i dont have jesus of nazareth yet
Hilig lang nila love story (for her), or action/adventure (for him)... Still thinking of what to watch, though...
