Has anyone tried buying a laptop from the US and have it shipped here? How much did the shipping, customs, taxes, etc. cost?
-
mine was placed in a balikbayan box . wrap it with lots of bubble wrap. arrived in excellent condition. the box cost me about 65 dollars
-
Mine was shipped tru JAC, wrapped in a beach towel, placed in a box. And because it is an electronic, they charge $200(?). . No customs duty.
-
for sensitive electronics like that i'd rather have someone handcarry it. Shipping it may be too risky. Just me though.
-
Best to have it hand carried by a relative or friend. Or else, prepare to pay duties or, at least, handling fees of a private courier, such as JAC.
Another way of going at it is to approach a friend pilot or steward ;)
Ship by sea would be cheap but prepare to wait for at least a month.

How much ang discount?.. How many old threads that you revive today by just pushing for Galeon.ph?
