Many DVDs will soon be released with an extra preencoded digital copy that you can transfer to your iPhones, Laptops, etc. Some are priced higher than regular DVDs (ie Juno), others - included free (Rambo). Will it entice you to buy more DVDs and extend the life of DVDs, now that Bluray has won the nextgen wars.
So Will you be more likely to buy a DVD if it include a Digital Copy that you can transfer to your portable players?

actually, Juno isn't more expensive because of the digital copy.. it comes free with the 2-disc edition just like Rambo..
i don't really care so much about this digital copy thing. i always buy the multiple disc editions of movies I like anyway, so I still end up paying more.. if the best edition out there is the one with a digital copy, i'd get that one even if it's more expensive.. the extras still carry more weight for me when it comes to buying DVDs..

It's not really all that needed but, if it's included then great! :D more value for my money.

If they don't have restrictions on the type of device you can download it to, sure. Kahit "one device only", okay lang.

I don't mind. As long as I want the movie I'll buy it even with or without the digital copy. :) :P

i guess it is an added perk, but only if the price stays on the same level. although i dont think prices were affected as i already have copies of hp5 and die hard 4 that have the digital copy options.

Are these perks exclusive to Region 1 only, or do we also have them in our local R3 releases?

i think this is an r1 exclusive offer at the moment.
