Title: Trying to buy DVD's from Canada and Customs office
Post by: Apprenticeofmedicine on Jan 09, 2013 at 11:11 PM
Hello! Im looking forward to buying an educational material from a canadian retailer (thru ebay) thats going to help me in my Medical education. The package includes about 9 books and 17 dvd's. This is a single copy separated into volumes since they cover different subjects for the first 2 years of Medicine. Pero natatakot ako sa mga nababasa ko online about the government charging really insane prices. The package is worth $300 with free shipping. These are nowhere to be found here in pinas and the only way to get them is through online retailers

Can i declare these as tax free? for personal educational purposes naman eh. Im clueless.. Any advice about what to do? thank you!

Technically books should be exempt. But not sure if it will pass without a hitch since it is quite heavy 9 books and most likely bulky.
