anybody have tried this? shipping rates are reasonable
-
interested din ako dito. compared to jac which is better?
-
been using the service for over a year now, pretty reliable and service is efficient. it uses sea freight so your stuff will be with you after 3-5 weeks. their balikbayan boxes are price at $30-70. irregular shape stuff that wont fir their boxes they will charge more. for electronic items they charge some tax depending on the price you paid for the item. but usually $20 for anything between $200-$500.
the company is owned by forex cargo, one of the bigger cargo handlers doing westcoast to philippines balikbayan boxes delivery.
and your items are shipped door to door. :)
-
Learned about them from Iiinas. ;D
Used them several times na. Very reliable. If you are shipping a big item, better to use them. For small items that you want fast, use JAC.
-
iipunin ba yung ordered items for you? until such time that ipapasara na yung box? :)
-

they will give you 45 days to consolidate all your orders. they start counting from the time they got your first items.

My experience is that it will take around 6 weeks for the items to get here. By the way, they have tracking updates.

Is it better than forex?

It is forex.

its the same company, the p.o. box i think is just the internet site to keep track of your orders. when the boxes arrives, its forex cargo boxes. afaik, the po box is owned by the son of the owner of forex cargo. so its basically the same.
you track your orders in the forex cargo site.

;D
my longest wait is five weeks. mostly 4 weeks. the 3 weeks i actually experienced during my black friday buy. i was surprised it arrived so fast since its thanksgiving sales in the u.s.

Bakat mas matagal ang akin? :( :(
When your goods are with them and you give the go-signal to ship, it will take around a week before it is finally shipped. Then, it takes a little more than a month to get here. Once in Manila, it takes only a few days before you receive it.

i start counting when its shipped, if kasama yung processing then yup, add another week to that.

-
ok to ah, they consolidate orders and you can use their card.
how do you settle payment? can you pay local or pay them with your credit card? any surcharge
@wildfire, when you ship, get insurance for items > $100 value.
di hamak na mura sa US kesa d2 ang HT and speaker sets.

no more.

you can pay through the banks or paypal. i pay via paypal.
for speakers, baka mas pricey kasi it wont fit their boxes. but sabi nila its still cheaper. i have bought receivers already, gps units and other stuff.
-
Jay2 brought in his 3 JTR speakers through pobox. Each speaker had 3 x 12" woofers. Murang mura raw shipping cost.
-
this is good.....just got our balikbayan box this morning, and the box was shipped through forex. my sister in law was the one who received the ordered items for us in the US.
ill try this, just for pre xmas shopping ;)
-
Have tried their service and was satisfied, they even consolidate and pack your items :)

Has anyone tried shipping out big HDTVs through pobox? Any comment regarding this?
-
no more.
ayos to walang hassle
-
I went for POBox's services after My Shopping Box messed up. Mas-reliable sila at madaling kausap. They have excellent service kahit pa sabihing matagal 'yong shipping.

wala ba silang by air?

afaik, they dont have air freight, if you want fast, jac talaga.
edit: done - dont... sorry

do they remove the packaging from amazon? or as is nilalagay sa balikbayan box?

exactly. and once na sanay ka na, ok na yun. sometimes i have boxes coming every week. ;D overlap na yung mga orders.
its not only hobby items you can buy. my wife has joined in the fun too.

Iiinas, sure ka nito? Hindi yata. Kapag mga dvd/blurays, they remove the Amazon packaging ... at least, yun ang ginawa nila sa package ko. Baka they remove the packaging kapag alanganin na pagkasya sa box nila.

ay oo nga pala, sorry, i stand corrected. its out of amazon packaging but stuff remains sealed of course. thanks sir mark.

What if I ask the pobox rep to monitor this thread and answer any questions? Parang JAC thread. Good idea ba yun?

wow gotta try this, JAC is pricey

sige email ko si celine of p.o. box
-

You can ask them to unbox your items para makatipid ng space especially if your aiming for a small box.
-
will you know kung ano ano ang laman ng box? nagpapadala ba sila ng list of items?
-
yung list of items included sa box mo sir you can check via their website, pero from my experience hindi up to date ang UPDATE ng list of your items in your box. I need to call or email them before seeing the updated list of items sa box mo.
-
Interesting, have to try it sometime... :)

Meron bang link?

big item yan sir a. magkano shipping?
-
so far, the shipping form is being updated religiously. I like the free consolidation services. Quote door to door here in angeles city is 80usd.
-
big item yan sir a. magkano shipping?
Yup sir parang washing machine yung lapad small size ref naman yung taas ng box, if i remember right nasa 5k ang total shipping cost, naka sale kasi sa amazon that time yung hts5300 and together with kodak zi8 kaya ok na rin kahit included yung shipping, nilagay na lang nila sa loob ng box ng hts5300, small item lang naman yung zi8.

doc, they will accept that but definitely different pricing since they consider that irregular sized packaging. but from the other members who have tried sending irregular packages, pobox is still the most reasonable in price.

Actually I have already inquired with them and cheaper nga sila compared to others for this particular item.. cheaper by 50% actually..
-
My box is nearing 6 weeks from the date it was shipped from US. Getting a bit antsy. Latest update from Celine, the shipment was still in customs. And she doesnt know the date of release.
-
Bro,
may delay talaga now sa customs, mi shipment not via this is taking much longer than before. You may have heard they changed commissioner, and that may docgoods s released from BOC manila to transit some from manila to batangas but never got there .... I suspect its related to that kaya 100% inspection all containers.
Got my boxes 3 weeks delayed from the usual turnaround.
-
AFter posting, I inquired again, and they promised me they will deliver this week. Just a little bit anxious, its the first time I used this service.

may nakapagtry na ba rito magorder ng laptop through pobox? how much ang shipping price. plan to buy a lenovo 14" laptop online
-
gaaano katagal ang shipping ng boxes nyo from the day POBox received the items at their warehouse?
just want to know their estimated processing time kasi it's my first time using their service. below is my recent experience.
1st box
- item delivered to PO Box warehouse as per vendor's shipment tracking and also noted in PO Box website
- received billing statement 5 days later after few follow up emails
- paid the billing on the same day it was issued
- the box was sent 6 days later
TOTAL of 11 days from receiving to shipping. di pa kasali ang shipping time ng vendor dito ;D
2nd box
- item received Nov 4, FRI (vendors shipment tracking) but noted in PO Box website as received on Nov, 7 MON
- no billing statement received yet until todate
both boxes were noted to be shipped ASAP to pinas.
what are your experience?

sa akin more or less mga 10 days nga, from the time i get the item, if isang item lang tapos ship na. pero i tend to consolidate, so from the time i ask for billing to date shipped, mga 4-6 days. the trick is to ensure you have it by their cut off day for shipping which is wednesday (i think...) so if they receive your payment confirmation by tuesday technically pasok agad sa wednesday pickup nila.

Parang wala ka magawa to speed up shipmemt after they receive payment. Problem is to get their billing asap. Sa experience ko, padala ka lang email kay [email protected] and within 24 hrs, may billing. Very efficient siya

got a reply from celine this afternoon. my box is already included in this week's cut-off for next week's ship out, but the billing is not ready yet.

In my part almost 2 months ang waiting time after ko order yung product. Nakarating naman ng ok lahat ng pinapadala ko sa kanila and no problems so far.

do they have additional charge for an electronic item like a receiver ?

Parang may extra charge if the item is electronic and costs more than $1000. Parang additional $30.
-
thanks for the reply sir mark. $30 is reasonable enough.
I have yet to see big markdowns on avrs during black friday sale. Sa Emotiva power amps bro baka me 20% off ulit just like last year. ;)
-
^Thanks for the feedback regarding black friday sales and AVRs. La pala masyado markdowns :(

ETD of boat - Nov 18
Summary: from Nov 4 (item received at warehouse) to Nov 18 (box shipped) = 14 days
di pa kasama ang 5 days delivery from vendor and 6-8 weeks transit time to manila + how many days pa kaya darating sa province

billing statement ay shipping charge. i bought stuff with odd shaped box kaya iba-iba ang rates.

Hi, what item yun meron 30 dollar tariff fee?
+1 on this inquiry. I've only used pobox twice but never really shipped out any electronic item like gadgets, etc.
-
hmmm baka sa ps3 .. i sent them email asking for the charge.. im waiting for their answer, but i think it is the ps3.

Sir waxx, basta may electronic item na more than 150 dollars charge sila ng 30 dollar tariff.

To those who've used pobox.ph for shipping their Amazon orders to the Philippines:
Can they check if the items they receive have suffered damages?
I once ordered a PS3 from Amazon, had it delivered to my friend so that she can send it to me via JAC. Good thing I asked her to check the package first because the PS3 arrived at her doorstep damaged; so I arranged for a replacement from Amazon (which I received right away).

I don't think they do this. The only one I know who does this is toy01.

Hmm...that's unfortunate. I wouldn't want to order and ship expensive items without knowing the condition of the package first.

It's a risk that some people take, especially when there is a huge price difference.
A few companies, like Emotiva, will test the product before shipping but that's very rare.

Totally get that but as I said, I don't want the example I gave above to happen. What use is a banged up product? Mind you, the PS3 itself was damaged, not just the box.
If it were only the box that was damaged, I can let that go.
-
Leon, did you buy it new from amazon? Kasi they also have refurbished items right. Katakot naman yun experience mo if brand new item unless na-damage siya while being shipped.
Pack and ship lang talaga.
-
one thing good about amazon is.. they will readily replace that defective item.. as long as you report it to them properly.. and the return window, they can adjust naman...

Yes, I bought it brand new. It probably got damaged during shipping since the side of the box was mangled and when opened, the system itself got damaged. As Waxx said, Amazon immediately replaced the item once I reported it to them.
That's why as much as I would like to use this service, I don't want to risk buying something expensive and have it arrive on my doorstep damaged. I wouldn't know if it got damaged while it was in Amazon's hands or pobox.ph.
-
As far as I know, you can ask POBOX to do some checks on the products for you. They can also handle returns but I think there's a fee for that. I'm just not sure how much checking they can do... you can ask Celine about that.
-
hi,
i just want to ask if anyone tried shipping a laptop to pobox? how much it costs you? how's the safety of your item?
thanks
-
I had my HP laptop shipped Oct. last year, pobox charged me $30 for the black box plus $20 tariff, or P2,210 to ship and deliver it here in Makati. Handling is very good, aside from the other stuff that I ordered from amazon that came w/ the box, the extra spaces were filled w/ crumpled papers & bubble wraps. It took 5 wks., but no issues whatsoever in any of my items.
-
I'm going to buy a laptop as well.
It will be over $1000, and I'll probably use POBox because I'm spending way too much at JAC. So magkano tariff ko sa POBox? $30 din ba o may additional pa pag over $1000? Can't find an answer anywhere.
-

My most recent order of electronic items (two av receivers combined into one package, not a laptop) costing around $1,100 was charged $60 tariff, but I'm not really sure how they compute for it so it may still be different for a laptop.
-
I know POBOX can check the item for any defect just advice them to check/power up for DOA. Sa Forex wala tariff the last time i have check quotation of reciever and PJ the down side is di nila puwede icheck/power for DOA so i ended up with FRS kasi ayaw ko magantay ng matagal kaya 1 week lang nasa akin na ang PJ and reciver ko. Mas mura kesa JAC quote. ;) ;)

same quote binigay sa akin ni luis of FRS re shipping of pj. may space pa kaya for a 35-ft hi-speed hdmi sa loob ng pj box? sulitin ko na sana while they are at it (powering up the unit).
but as you have said na gumagana ang 1.3v hdmi sa 3D, pag tiyagaan ko muna ang 1.3v hdmi while waiting for my 1.4v sa forex.
thanks sa tip brader ;)

kung sa space meron, since may box sa ibabaw about 4 inches x which houses the power cord and 2 x 3D glasses. you can take out the glasses, and wrap the powercord in bubble wrap. you should be ok.

Bad news FRS will not allow to put the HDMI at the PJ box but they will only charge one handling fee for the two item. ;D ;D
-
ok na din yun. PM ricky coz he 10 meter cable na 3D rated. i got a 15 meter from him recently and wala na flicker ghosting problems ko sa old cable.
-

4 kami sa bahay, 2 adults and 2 kids so swak ang additional ps3 glasses.
basing on the ps3 glasses dimension sa amazon + dagdag konti ng sukat to assume the box size, maliit lang din ang box. 2 glasses are less than 1 lb vol weight, so $6.5 lang ;D
-

Alam mo minimum na nilalagay sa mga less 1lbs is 2lbs so that's my experience with amazon nung nag paship ako kay FRS nakalagay sa box 2lbs even less 2lbs. Yan din ata ang minimum ng pag ship sa local courier sa US sa nakalagay sa box na weight mag base si FRS not the actual. :D
-
ito ang email sa akin ni luis of FRS regarding computation of weight
Chargeable weight will be based on actual weight or volume weight of the box whichever is higher. Volume weight is computed as LxWxH/166 = min weight.
Handling fee of $5 is per shipment. Online air shipments leave New York, M-W-F. Transit time to Manila 5-7 working days. If you are expecting more than one package arriving in our New York/New Jersey offices during the week, we can hold all packages received and send out on our Wed or Friday shipment for $1/package, to save on the handling fee of $5/shipment. If there is no instructions to hold, package will be sent out as received.
i will ship a 35-ft hdmi and 2x ps3 glasses so maiwasan siguro ang rounding off to the heavier weight.
paano pala nila e compute? isang computation sa hdmi, tapos round off. then isang computation sa 2x ps3 glasses tapos round off rin? o sabay na ang dalawang items at isang computation nalang?

This was an email a while ago from them.
Important Announcement - Extra Insurance for Lost Items
To All Our Valued Members:
There have been a few incidents of lost items due to the random inspection
of our boxes by the U.S. Customs. They take out the items inside the boxes
and then pack it again thus also ruining the way we carefully pack the
items. They do this to boxes of cargo forwarders to the Philippines. Around
30% of our boxes are subject to these random inspections. Examples of items
that are lost are relatively 'small' items such as shades, watches, small
gadgets and the like. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, the insurance
of the courier, Forex Cargo, only covers 'loss' of the whole box and not
the 'loss' of items inside the box. However, POBox has tried to compensate
for the 'Loss' of these items as an act of service and commitment to our
clients. Moving Forward, Forex and POBox may not be able to cover ALL
losses anymore. In lieu of these circumstances, we decide to offer Extra
Insurance coverage for such instances. The ff. are the details for this
Extra Insurance:
1. Extra Insurance coverage offered is for up to $100 and $200 only. The
additional cost for the insurance is $5 and $10 respectively.
2. Extra Insurance coverage is only for 'Loss' of items due to Random
Inspection by the U.S. Customs.
3. Extra Insurance coverage is in additional to coverage of Forex Cargo.
Claims should be first made to Forex and the Extra Insurance will cover
balances that were not claimed through Forex if the claim was deemed valid.
4. When shipping a box, POBox will ask all if they want to avail of the
Extra Insurance. The fee for the Extra Insurance should be paid with the
shipment fee of the box.
Since the maximum coverage we offer is only $200, we advise everyone to
refrain from shipping expensive, valuable and 'small' items for now while
the situation with the U.S. Customs remains uncertain. This extra insurance
will be offered starting on the September 19 shipment batch.
Kindly let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding this.
Thank you very much!

I got this email too.
One of my recent packages was delayed by a few weeks because of this random US customs inspection. Buti nalang malaki, so hindi madaling mawala during the inspection. Kung dito yan, I wonder where the 'lost items' go...
-
Grabe talaga yang US inspection na yan.

you mean when they inspected it, it wasn't opened properly (i.e. unceremoniously cut the flap of the box itself, instead of in-between the two top flaps?)
was it in a factory sealed box when packed?

Too bad for him. Madalas mawala jan relo at laptop.

The unit was inside the original box, the cut a portion on the lower side of the box exposing the styro. >:(

What's the reason behind confiscating wristwatches and small gadgets?

What's the reason behind confiscating wristwatches and small gadgets?
their reason is that the customs people might have misplaced the items specially the small items, but i think you are correct in assuming na "nabuwaya" na rin yun mga stuff na yon. nahiya lang ang po box to stay na nadale na.
i was lucky my last shipment was not inspected and i have a watch in there.
as for my pj, it was inspected since the box when it was delivered to me, the u.s. customs inspected sticker was on the box.

would you say that the 818's box was slit open intentionally, or perhaps by accident (maybe out of carelessness while opening the larger box containing the 818 box?)

It was intentional. the cut has a 45 degree angle.

whoa, i'm not sure why they'd do that. i mean, were they expecting cocaine would pour out or something? aren't they supposed to use x-ray or whatever, specially if a box was clearly labeled and factory sealed...

I just hope that nothing's wrong with the unit :-[. I will hook it up later. There is no visible damage to the unit since the blade used hit the styro only.
Whatever the reason, kaasar sila >:(
Sorry for the O.T.

you're probably ok, with the unit itself not being damaged.
but the thought of big items possibly being damaged due to careless inspection methods, that's rather discomforting...

Hi everyone. I just got my box today. This is the first time I availed of Pobox.ph's service. My box was opened by US customs as evidenced by a tape on the box. Upon checking my items, I found 2 PSP umd's missing. Their cases and manual were there though. It's a good thing that these are relatively inexpensive. But still, I am pissed.. :( My lion king blu ray's case was also damaged due to careless packing. At least they left it sealed, though.
This is just another testimony that random inspection and theft really do happen. I'm not so sure if I'll avail of their service again. This is the first time I lost an item through balikbayan box. My box went out September 7 so it was not under the extra insurance policy.

Matagal na tong issue sir abt missing items when ur box undergoes inspection by US customs. Wala na tlga tyong mggawa d2. Swertehan n lng if d mawawala mga items mo. Luckily for you hindi expensive un nawala syo un iba laptop ang nawala sa kanila.
-

Sa mga nagpaship ng AV receiver sa pobox or forex magkano total shipped cost nyo from US to PHL?

kasama na ako sa biktima nyan huhuhu :-[ US customs ransacked my box... dapat ibebenta ko na dito for cheaper prices kasi sea freight, imagine a 150+ titled box, 80 titles ang tinangay yung BD copy, so what's the use of the cases and artwork :'( ... just a reminder that the US customs are cannibalistic in handling things. The word in mind was INSPECTED, not FILTERING items. i lost around 35K worth because of this. i just hope my next box wouldn't be INSPECTED again.... sad to say... POBOX won't shoulder those items that were taken without even appealing... was in a real bad mood for a week. buti na lang Johnny Air was there kahit papano my new items are still arriving on time.
everytime i looked at those boxes... makes me wanna stick someone at the back
take note, i got all steelbooks as brand new sealed, well.. WAS... pala :-[
these are graphic in terms of people who take care of their items... bro seph1018 baka umiyak ka pag nakita mo mga ito

^ That's sad, Ryan. Would you know if pobox.ph filed a formal complaint with the US Customs if pilferages from their clients' packages are really happening for some time now?
-
anyone had any experience importing a flat panel TV through this service?
-
LET ME state my mind on this pilferage troubles. My brother was at one time an importer of novelty gifts from Greece. He traded Hellenic vases, plates and "retablos" with awesome ancient-style designs like those you could see from excavated artifacts and museum pieces. But he lost money on the pilferage that happens against his shipments. The culprit is none other than the Customs scoundrels and even the cargo handlers. To cite suspects the victim need only to straddle between these two parties, and even if the pinpointing is correct, its a futile, doomed effort.
Hence, I wouldn't put confidence on what POBOX is declaring that stolen or damaged goods is the handiwork of random and rash U.S. Customs inspection. Hogwash.
For all that can be said against Americans, they're far decent & integrity-laden than the usual government people - especially that cesspool of thievery, Bureau Of Customs (both in North Harbor and in Sto. nino, Paranaque).
I can't believed US Customs would slash, pocket and pillage these Philippine-bound boxes like our own cargo pillagers here. I'd say POBOX is throwing the blame against US Customs because no one of us here could confidently dispute that its not an invention. Has US Customs ever came out with a statement or a stated policy that they're doing such brash, almost tyrannical inspections/confiscations?
I'd say the pillages happens here, its this blighted shore, port and warehouse where all these thievery and damages are being inflicted. Sa nawalang kubyertos, amphora vases and other rare merchandise my brother has lost, wala kang maaaring pagsuspitsahan kundi ang mga kababayan mo ring mga tulisan....
-
^ Exactly my thoughts Ms. Alice! The first thing that came to my mind when I read the posts here, 'Why is it pobox.ph did not file a complaint with US Customs on this alleged pilferage incidents?' Ang dali kasing sabihin ng Pobox.ph na US customs ang may kasalanan, but did they show undeniable proof that the pilferages were the handiwork of US Customs officers? I don't think so.
-
-
i don't think it's wise to throw accusations unless you have first hand knowledge of the issue at hand. just because filipinos screw over fellow filipinos all the time, doesn't mean americans would screw filipinos any less.
anyway, all i know is that my dealings with pobox/forex has been good and so far they have a good track record with regards to compensating customers for untoward incidents.
-
i have used po box service and to be honest nothing like this ever happened to me (yet) but this type of problems came about after the us customs started to inspect outgoing shipments, that is why i am more inclined to believe @toy 01's explanation than the once @alice go and @edwin is insinuating.
besides, let's think for a second that hypothetically that there are indeed crooks in our shores, company's like po box and other bb box companies would probably have "greased" their contacts already to ensure shipments arrive here in our shores in good hands, and i doubt they would let anything happen to the shipments after allegedly receiving bribes to ensure safe passage of said goods.
as i said, the stink started to happen after the us customs started the random opening of outbound cargoes. and the partners might be crooked as expounded by @toy01.
i fully agree @rthirtyfourgtr, its sad that we immediately think that its us (philippines) that are at fault.
-
-
My take is somewhere in between. I think Philippine customs or crooked employees of the forwarder are responsible for the pilferage. If they see that a batch goes through US customs inspection, it leaves a good excuse for looting, and leaving the blame to US customs. I am not saying that US customs is absolutely innocent, I just think their inspection gives other handlers that excuse to steal.
If you look at the victim boxes, there are US customs packaging tapes. If you are US customs, won't you seal them properly? Do you really think they'll be taped up so haphazardly?
I use Forex by the way, and have a perfect record with them. Puwera bati.

Puwede din pero kasi ang sinasabi na involve is the third party of US custom not the US custom itself. Sa pagkakasabi dito nacheck na ng US custom then icheck pa ng third party correct me if i'm wrong.
-
I remember reading about a statement from either forex or pobox explaining that these issues were caused by a company by the name of "Price Transfer" (pointed out above by TOY01 as well.)
They say that issue is not isolated to forex, other forwarders are affected as well. a quick google search shows that at least one other forwarder gave out a press release: http://www.manilaforwarder.com/pressrelease.html
excerpt:
Claims against Loss Due to US Homeland Security Inspections
The Pilipino American Shipper’s Association has been extensively careful in representing the complaints of balikbayan box consumers pertaining to the reported loss of items in the balikbayan box.
The US Homeland Security has been notified of such problems, which in turn, notified the inspection facility, the Price Transfer.
The Price Transfer, on the other hand, points to the US Homeland Security for answers.
The fact is that when a balikbayan box container gets inspected, aside from the delays that it would cause, may result in some missing items. It is reported that Balikbayan Box Companies in the Philippines find some items scattered on the floor of the container when they receive it. A similar condition to that of a police raid.
An independent surveillance conducted by a Balikbayan Box Company, outside the Price Transfer Inspection facility showed some of its personnel coming out of their workplace with backpacks or bags.
Price Transfer claims that their facility is secure and protected by surveillance cameras to avoid container theft among its personnel.
No one is allowed inside Price Transfer inspection facility except their personnel and US Homeland Security Officers.
so which is more plausible - there are anomalies in the operations of Price Transfer, or there is conspiracy among a group of Philippine cargo forwarders?
-

Nahold ba yung box mo for inspection ng US customs? And how much the total damage? Mostly kc dun nangyyri ang pilferage.

^ yes na hold, even paid for electronic tariff. ang nawala xbox 360 kinect, seagate hd, car amplifier, car subwoofer total damage $590 grabe, all bought during the thanksgiving sale, napamahal pa lalo :(

pobox has a list of what's inside your box, you should file a complaint to them. it was better if you picked up the box and opened it in front of them so they can't put the blame to someone else.
there was a warning from them about the shipping of hard drives and other gadgets with memory storage but i find it odd why the car amp and subwoofer were also gone. it was an intended stealing from the US customs or pobox warehouse part.

big items indeed that were stolen from you. I remember last year one of the tipid pc members lost a lot of items and he file a complaint against pobox. The whole process and waiting time consumed more than 5 months I think before the pobox granted the replacement of the stolen items. As GneW said there is an announcement coming from pobox regarding their policy on pilferage issue. Try to file a complaint and lets see what will pobox do on your case. Thankfully my item didnt undergo the inspection of US customs. whew!

tiyempuhan lang talaga sa US customs check. of all the 8 boxes na pinaship ko since nag umpisa ang US customs inspection, 1 lang ang box na may GREEN US custom tape na natanggap ko. the box was beat up on all corners but luckily walang nawala kasi mga gamit pambahay ang karamihan ng laman. i have 3 more boxes coming this month, hoping na di sana dumaan ng US customs.
-
^thanks guys for your inputs, already informed pobox regarding loss items. still waiting for their reply.

at first, naguguluhan din ako sa style ng forex compared to pobox. pero same lang din, just pay their bank account the exact amount on the invoice then scan the deposit slip and email it to them. they will update your forex web account. may utang pa nga ako ngayon dahil nakalimutan nila e add ang tax sa pinabili ko sa kanila pero wala naman problema. sa next shipping ko na daw babayaran yon ;D
-
Diba same lang ang forex and pobox? Nakiki ride lang pobox kay forex. Kilala ko owner ng
Pobox.

Baka mag kapatid of family lang may ari ng pobox and forex.
-
-
Update ko lang complain ko sa pobox, they replied but wash their hands on my complaint, informed me to file complaint to forex not them kasi they are "only a consolidating company" :( what a bummer

@jessec
not sure if you're aware of this (see below.) incidents like this were rare in the past but it's become more rampant as of late, hence the current policy...
Guys.. sharing the new insurance policy update from POBOX for everyone's awareness:

Used their service for the first time. Waited for 5 weeks. Overall, experience was ok. They allow payment via paypal. Other notes/observations:
- Since they're using sea freight, the tracking via the forexworld site is practically useless once the item status changes to "Vessel Departed". It will remain that way for a number of weeks while your package is traveling across continents via sea
- When the tracking status changes to "Delivered", that doesn't mean the item has been delivered to your home. It simply means that from the warehouse, the package has now been delivered to pobox office, for dispatch to a 3rd party courier for the door-to-door delivery part of the process
- Package was received in its original box from the seller. It was not repackaged into their own box (though my items came only in 1 box and purchased from 1 single seller
Will I use them again? Probably not. The items just take too long to get here. Maybe I got spoiled by comgateway in Singapore where I get my items in less than a week and the shipping rates are fairly reasonable. I think I'll try JAC next time.

Have ALL your packages delivered to:
Attn: "Your Name"
1102 Arroyo St
Unit B
San Fernando, CA 91340
Tel. 310-8037035
This is applicable for both straight shipments and consolidation. For
special shipping of over-sized and over-weight packages, kindly contact us
first since we might need to arrange for a special delivery address.
Thank you very much!

The rest of the other type of box mas mura na si forex.

Just got my items. I was surprised that they delivered my box today when the tracking says it was still in California. However, one small item was missing. it's a nikon color gel diffuser. I order two but only one was in the box. hopefully they honor my insurance. however, they can't really check since you're the only one opening and seeing what's inside. their system might be prone to be abused by unscrupulous people

RE: pobox.ph
Mga sir, anyone here has a screenshot of the checkout or billing page ni POBox? Baka pwede makahingi for reference lang ng itsura.
Just need the labels lang sana kung ano itsura nila. We're working out something for pobox user kasi.
Salamat.

Sounds like legal action.
I've never used pobox, but have used the mother company ForexWorld. FW service has hit rock bottom since using a new local partner eShip. I won't be surprised if pobox has suffered the same fate.
Just speculating here, so am curious with your request.

Hi Bros. Ask ko lang, how’s the air and sea shipping service of POBox.Ph lately? Okay pa rin ba? I’ve used https://pobox.ph/Home.aspx about 5 years ago and wanted to double if okay pa rin service nila. Thanks
