FROM DIRECTOR MICHAEL BAY AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER STEVEN SPIELBERG, THE BIGGEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR WORLDWIDE IS UNLEASHED
ON VCD, DVD AND BLU-RAY
[/b]

With more action and more thrills, TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen captivated audiences to earn over $820 million at the box office and become the #1 movie of the year in North America and throughout the world.  The latest spectacular adventure in the wildly popular TRANSFORMERS franchise will make its highly-anticipated DVD and Blu-ray debut this November in immersive, two-disc Special Editions, as well as on a single disc DVD, from DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures in association with Hasbro; distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment.

From director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg, in association with Hasbro, TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen delivers non-stop action and fun in an all-new adventure that the whole family can enjoy.  Featuring out-of-this-world heroes in the form of the mighty AUTOBOTS and a malevolent and powerful villain known as THE FALLEN, the film boasts some of the most sensational—and complex—visual effects in film history set against the backdrop of spectacular locations around the world.  In addition to audience favorites OPTIMUS PRIME and BUMBLEBEE, the film’s human stars have returned to help save the world including Shia LaBeouf (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), Megan Fox (How to Lose Friends & Alienate People), Josh Duhamel (“Las Vegas”), Tyrese Gibson (Four Brothers) and John Turturro (The Good Shepherd).
The battle for Earth continues in this action-packed blockbuster when college-bound Sam Witwicky  learns the truth about the ancient origins of the TRANSFORMERS robots, he must accept his destiny and join OPTIMUS PRIME and BUMBLEBEE in their epic battle against the DECEPTICONS, who have returned stronger than ever with a plan to destroy our world.

TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen arrives this November on VCD, DVD and Blu Ray from Magnavision Home Video.

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN
DVD BONUS MATERIAL

THE HUMAN FACTOR
EXACTING REVENGE OF THE FALLEN
A definitive, comprehensive feature-length documentary exploring the making of this year's biggest hit, broken up into the following 7 chapters…

1. SEEDS OF VENGEANCE (30:00)
Development and Design
After the overwhelming success of 2007’s TRANSFORMERS, how do the filmmakers top themselves for the sequel? Complicating matters are the Writer’s Guild strike and upping the giant robot ante from fourteen to forty-six!

2. DOMESTIC DESTRUCTION (23:51)
Production: United States
Michael Bay believes in going big: Big action and big explosions. Cast and crew are pushed to the limit as they traverse the U.S. from New Mexico to Pennsylvania. Far from being all work and no play, Shia and the rest of the crew have a little fun with Mr. Bay.

3. JOINT OPERATIONS (9:26)
Production: Military
No other filmmaker in the world enjoys the kind of military access and cooperation Michael Bay has. Here we see just how efficient our armed forces are and the awe and respect shown by the cast.

4. WONDERS OF THE WORLD (12:41)
Production: Middle East
You can’t really reproduce Egypt anywhere but Egypt so off we go to Giza and Luxor. Shooting on the Great Pyramids was an incredible logistical challenge made even more so by actor John Turturro ACTUALLY climbing on them!

5. START MAKING SENSE (9:23)
Editing
In order to turn over the massive amount of film as quickly as possible to VFX, four editors work tirelessly with Michael Bay in a unique tag-team approach to shape the film.

6. UNDER THE GUN (30:00)
Visual Effects
REVENGE OF THE FALLEN features the most complicated VFX in film history. Period. So complicated in fact that Michael Bay and his team were unsure they would make the deadline. The Devastator VFX alone required 83% of ILM’s total render farm capacity. To put it another way, some of ILM’s computers actually exploded.

7. RUNNING THE GAUNTLET (17:22)
Post-Production and Release
Working seven days a week, Michael Bay and company usher the film through sound design, Digital Intermediate color-timing and a globe-trotting whirlwind of premieres.

A Day With Bay: Tokyo (16:18)
An intimate and fun all-access journey with Michael Bay as he travels to Tokyo, Japan for the world premiere of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

25 Years of Transformers (10:16)
Join us for a celebration of the iconic world of The Transformers. Hasbro’s innovative team shares their passion for the characters with fans the world over as we travel to Botcon, the official Transformers convention. Truly More Than Meets the Eye!

Deconstructing Visual Bayhem (25:24)
An exciting series of multi-angle previs sequences allowing viewers to explore key iterations and learn how some of the film’s moat spectacular scenes were created. Following an introduction by Michael Bay, each sequence will be accompanied by audio commentary by previs supervisor Steve Yamamoto.

N.E.S.T.: TRANSFORMER DATA-HUB
For Blu-ray:  A comprehensive database of 12 Transformers that appear in the new film, offering users access to each robot’s confidential file such as :

•   Innovative 3D spin/zoom galleries of each robot.
•   A timeline for each character, charting its origins, back story and design evolution from the toys to the animated series to the comics to the feature films.

For SD:  The NEST Data Hub gives you a look at conceptual artwork created by the production for 12 of the most popular Autobots and Decepticons seen in the film.

DELETED /ALTERNATE SCENES

MUSIC VIDEO – LINKIN PARK “NEW DIVIDE”

THEATRICAL TRAILER – REVENGE

EASTER EGGS

BD EXCLUSIVE:

THE ALLSPARK EXPERIMENT

This is your chance to unleash the power of the recently recovered AllSpark shard on Earth vehicles.  Simply begin by choosing a vehicle and customizing it with a selection of parts and accessories.  Then apply the AllSpark to your creation and watch what happens.

Note:  Applying the AllSpark to certain custom combinations will enable four new Transformers robots with special powers.  Discover all four and you will unlock a fifth vehicle, which contains a secret within.  Apply the AllSpark to the perfect custom configuration of that final vehicle for a top secret message about the future…

GIANT EFFING MOVIE (23:59) – A rapid paced dispatch from the trenches of TROF that starts at ground zero and shows a sometimes rough, sometimes shaky, but very real view of the making of the film.

THE MATRIX OF MARKETING
An archive of the film’s promotional media, including trailers, TV spots, posters and other marketing materials.

Walmart will be selling an exclusive IMAX shifting Aspect Ratio version with 1 minute of added battle scenes. My sources also tell me that Bestbuy will probably also be selling this special version. No word yet on whether Futureshop will be selling this version. I will have 2 Futureshop Blu-ray Steelbooks and 2 Imax shifting A/R Blu-rays on their way to me come 20th October.

For those concerned with Region Codes, please note:

The 1-Disc and 2-Disc keepcase with slipcase versions are marked R1.

The Bumblebee and Steelbook editions are marked R3.

The Bumblebee is sold out at Music One Quezon Avenue already. Just got the last piece.  ;D

same here, 2disc keepcase lang binili ko, at my surprise the said r1 marked dvd i bought worked in my region3 locked dvd player. nagulat ako and nagtataka bakit r1 ang release eh., so i tried my other very small collection of r1 dvds in the r3 player, well surprise surprise it worked also. 95% of my collection are r3, 5% r1.

No need to rush re watching it hehe

though story wise, I still prefer TF 1 rather than revenge of the fallen.

But for the love of the franchise. hehehe

Bought the 2-disc keepcase in MOA where the movie is still showing in Imax. Ngayon lang ulit ako nakabili ng R1 DVD from local stores since I bought The Incredibles R1 from an Astro sale years ago.

Just got this now. The single disc edition is also labeled R1. The last R1 DVDs I bought from local astro stores has been the Lord of the Rings trilogy (both SEs and PEs), and Finding Nemo. Pirates of the Carribean R1 I got from a shop at Park Square 1 but I think they were also selling the R1 at Astro at the time.

My husband and I were supposed to get the Bumblebee case to accompany the Optimus Prime one. But the quality seemed really shoddy, so we opted for the 2-disc slipcase instead.

And I still have regrets shelling out 895 for a movie that sucked big time, but what can I say, we are children of the 80s, which TF was a big part of. Reading through the list of extras, I thought the docu-feature "25 Years of the Transformers" would make me not regret the purchase, but it was a big disappointment as well. I thought it would discuss the history of the toys and the animation, but all it was about was promoting the second movie's toy line.

In the end, inisip ko na lang na nakaka-OC yung meron kang part 1 tapos walang part 2. Even the Spidey series, we bought the DVD of the third installment just to complete the series, eventhough the 3rd movie was a painful embarassment. :D

same here, i will purchase these just for the sake of completing the series since im a fan of the cartoons while as a kid in the 80's.

oh no... After reading Myawok's reading feedback regarding TF 2. I feel parang talagang ginamit lang nila ang film to generate the huge chunk of profits.

To be honest, the movie sucks big time (saved for the action sequence). Even though it was panned, it made to the Top 10 highest grossing films of all time in the US.

Still, since growing up in the 80's, this is the first animation and toy line that I really got into. Now talagang di ko mamadaliin ang pagbili. Will just really wait for my copy to arrive.

Why the transparent cheapo case for the 2 discer?   :-\

I hope I got it right but I think even the US release is using the clear case as stated in this:

http://dvd.ign.com/articles/103/1039554p1.html

The inlay has the eyes of the Fallen similar to the early posters of the movie. Hope this helps :)

I don't think so :) The transparent case is actually quite good, especially since it highlights the inner sleeve artwork. Doesn't look cheap.

ah ya the case itself is transparent/see through/clear, it's just covered by the protective sleepcover outside design megatron then inside the fallen's eye, medyo ngayon ko lang napansin stupid me.. , sorry na mental block ako eh coz the movie sucks.

"According to the impressions I’ve read, the Bumblebee case does not look that good. Better take a long look at it before getting one. People say it looks very much like low quality plastic."Someone comment me this!Pls.tell me if the Bumblebee Case is good...pls. someone....

Here are some replies from the previous page with regards to your inquiry:

I'm not that impressed on the details of the transforming case. BB's head looks terrible.  :(

My husband and I were supposed to get the Bumblebee case to accompany the Optimus Prime one. But the quality seemed really shoddy, so we opted for the 2-disc slipcase instead.

saw the BB case..but opted not to buy also..the quality looked like it was from Divisoria or something.. will look for the steel case series.

However...if you already have Optimus and Megatron, then I guess you will be forced to get Bumblebee given it's looks to complete your transorming case.  ;)

Is the quality that bad? Can the build quality be judged on, via photos?

Tell me pls,if Magnavision release the dvd of TransFormers:ROF on Monday they will have a Region or something like u know...because when i buy the dvd of TF:ROF single disc hindi sya gumagana sa dvd player sa Computer ko sya na papagana.Pls. tell me if they released meron ba silang Region 4 sa dvd ng TF:ROF kasi Region 1 ung nabili ko,sa SM BACOOR nd sya nga nasa dvd player sa computer sya nagana...kasi im planning to buy a 2 Disc Special Edition ng TF:ROF sa November 9.Dpat tlga Bumblebee Case ung Bibilhin ko kaso nd daw mgnda ung BB Case so i decide to buy the 2 Disc Special Edition.

Seriously, did you even read through this thread before asking that question? The issue of region coding on this release has been answered repeatedly several times already:

For those concerned with Region Codes, please note:

The 1-Disc and 2-Disc keepcase with slipcase versions are marked R1.

The Bumblebee and Steelbook editions are marked R3.

And... you're looking for a Region 4 release?? If that's really the case, then you'll probably need to buy it from an Australian or South American source.

Yes and no. To be honest, the build quality is actually quite good (then again, I haven't physically held it in my hands--just the sealed case). From what I see it's the paint job that may turn off some people. It doesn't bother me and if it were cheaper I'd get it. But economic times dictate I save money so I got the 2-disc R1 edition instead. Besides, the Bumblebee case has the R3 version so...

Paint job is really bad.  6ft away (on the store's shelves) ang ganda niya.  Nung hinawakan ko na for a closer look.  My initial reaction was.  %&&^$ !!! ang pangit naman ng painting!  >:( >:( Lagpas lagpasan, parang 2yrs old pinag paint.  Ni hindi ko siya papatulan at half the price.   >:( >:(

Well, it was probably made in some sweatshop in China so chances are very high a child actually painted it.

Especially the head part. It's obvious that the eyes are supposed to have a "glow" effect to them pero it wasn't done quite right.

I already buy now the Steel Book and it's awesome. So the 2 Disc Special Edition that the cover is the face of Optimus Prime is R1?they don't have R3 for the dvd?

Your copy is R3. To my knowledge, all of the 2-discs out right now is R1.

I bought the Transformers Steelbook since I was collecting all the locally released steelbooks (WAS because I disliked the plain white cover of Star Trek and bought the replica LE instead).

I was tempted to buy the Bumblebee version too since I have the 'transforming' set of the first movie but decided against it.  I thought the money could be better used elsewhere.  I kicked the habit of collecting multiple versions of the same movie sometime ago. :)

I didn't really looked at the 1 and 2 discs version until yesterday.  The embrossed metallic case looks great, and both look better than the pricey Steelbook and Bumblebee versions.  The fact that's its R1 is a bonus.  The artwork of the 1-disc version (with the full robot) looks nicer than the 2-discs version (with the Transformer head artwork).  Actually, it looked so nice that I am tempted to double dip... if the movie was as good as the first one, I probably  would have succumbed to my old habit. But luckily, it isn't and my wallet won out. :)
