Guys, I just had my plinth upgraded from mdf-phenolic resin to acrylic. Also had a female RCA plug installed at the rear of the plinth.Had the internal wiring upgraded to Cardas litz wire bought from Hyper. I immediately noticed an improvement in sound.Di ko na ginamit yung funk firm acroplat, yung achromat na lang. Many thanks to Sir Anthony(master_audio, diy_master) for fabricating my new plinth. Husay mo talaga Sir Anthony! Tomorrow, I'll bring this to Sir Noly for the installation of my new cartridge, an Ortofon 2m blue. Thanks! Wala pang pics sir audiojunkie pero I can assure you na napakalinis ng gawa ni Anthony. The plinth is composed of 3 layers of 9mm each so 27mm thickness ng plinth. Gold-plated female rca ang ginamit ni anthony kay ang ganda. You can also request na sa gilid ilabas yung plug!

Fr. Jim, mga around 6.5 k lang po inabot, kasama na yung gold-plated RCA plugs sa likod at 4 big allen screws. Naipakabit ko narin yung Ortofon 2m blue na cartridge c/o Sir Noly(Halls). Well-balanced tong cartridge nato. Here are some pics

you have there a low resonance and less moving parts turntable
plus goodsounding cart..... almost perfect ;D ;D ;D
would it be nicer if they are spikes instead of rubber feet?

Fr. Jim, may pagkamind-reader po ata kayo! he he! That's my next upgrade, either spikes or sorbothane feet ang plano ko ilagay. Alam niyo po, just changing the mdf plinth to acrylic brought me huge benefits in improving the detail and transparency of the tt. The more when I upgraded my cartridge. So, wag mo ng idispose yung gr 1.2, so many options for upgrade! Father Jim, my problem is I can't use my funk firm achromat na, bumaba yung height ng platter in relation sa cartridge kase medyo mataas yung profile ng Ortofon 2M blue. Mas mataba at fuller pa naman yung tunog when I use the achromat, nakakalungkot tuloy. Anyway, kung interested kayo dun sa achromat, just pm me and I'll give it to you at a discounted price! i would suggest for spikes.

Check out with the supplier and the internet on how you can increase the vertical mounting height of the tonearm and that you can use your achromat. Just inserting washers and spacers will do the trick as far as I can remember.
