Title: Brogger's Audio Journey
Post by: brogger on Nov 11, 2009 at 12:28 PM
How to Biamp/Biwire  a Dared MP5?

Just started off with this hobby, after seeing/hearing  the HiFi show last year which kept me desiring for that fat..warm…soothing..and very detail euphony. My baby steps to this audio journey is a pre-owned dared mp 5 and a pair or 8.1 wharfdales using a laptop as CD player.

Upgrades:

Rega Speaker Cables & Quality Speaker Plugs.

Now after days with this set-up leave me wanting a bit more, and begs the question;

 “what can be done to make the most out of this set up?”

1. Another MP5 and bi-amp??? – clueless on how to DIY, not even sure if its plausible with the mp5. The objective is for more detail.

2. Have a decent CD player – looking for an azur 640 or probably a rotel. But open for suggestion.

Being a fund conscious person I hope to solicit sensible advice from the audio gurus.

Wishlist:

Monitor Audio RX2 (White Gloss) <<not available, need special arrangement to purchase.
Or
Monitor Audio RS 1 (Black)

More efficient speakers

Better room acoustics / treatment.

Isolation cones.

More often, we tend to change gears blaming them for our dissatisfaction. Pero in truth, those rooms sa hifhi show are acoustically treated to produce better clarity.

You should have a very good source before you change your Amp cables and Speakers. Remember Garbage In Garbage Out
