Title: Help with my center speaker
Post by: glacierfrost on Mar 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM
My HT specs are wharfedale EVO40 for the fronts, EVO center and Wharfedale DFS for surround. The speakers are powered by an onkyo SR-705.

My problem is the movie dialogues are not as clear as I would've liked. Kinda muddled yung sound. Sound is loud but not crystal clear. I used the audyssey for calibration but I've already increased (around +5db) the volume of the center speaker because I feel that the dialogues are too soft. Is there a way to improve it? Would getting another center speaker be a better? Even if it's a different brand?

had a similar problem a few months back also using an evo center. try listening to your tweeter i found out my tweeter was busted and that was causing all the problems

i had it repaired cost less than 1k if i remember. anyway try checking your tweeter first later if theres any sound coming out of it

I tested the tweeter and I seems fine, albeit parang mahina lang yung sound. What I did was remove the metal used for bi-amping then only connected the it to "hi". May sound naman medyo manipis nga lang.

Try ko siguro ibang source maybe may mali lang sa settings ko sa HTPC.
